Jessica woke up to the sound of a baby crying. She sat up and seen her baby girl in the bassinet beside the hospital bed she was laying in.
She stood up and looked down at the baby before she picked her up.
She smiled down at the baby as she cradled her in her arms.
"Mommy is here now baby girl." Jessica cooed at her daughter.
A knock at the door startled her.
A nurse walked into the room with a chart.
"Good afternoon Ms. Donovan. I'm just here to do a checkup on the newborn." The nurse informed her as she reached for Jessica's baby.
She placed her on the table to start the checkup.
"Where exactly am I?" Jessica asked as she looked around the room.
"You're in a safe place."
Jessica darted her head up in the direction of the voice.
General Krantz was standing in the doorway.
"What do you want?" She asked him stepping closer to her daughter.
"I just wanted to check in on my daughter and my granddaughter." He informed her stepping more into the room.
"I am not your daughter and she sure as hell isn't your granddaughter." Jessica stated firmly.
"You know I didn't want things to be this way. I wanted your mother to tell you about me, but she refused." Jessica scoffed.
"Don't you dare put the blame on my mother! You know about me for a long time. Why not make yourself known before? Why now?" Jessica asked him.
"You weren't ready to know about the company and what I do. But I think you're ready now." Jessica shook her head.
"Where is Lincoln? Michael?" Jessica asked.
"Lincoln turned himself into me. He is currently downstairs with Michael who is about to have an operation done. Lincoln is working for me to get Scylla back. Once he does you are free to go." The General informed her.
"I want to see Lincoln." Jessica commanded.
"He chose to see Michael instead. Once he recovers Scylla for me then you can be reunited with him. Until then you are to remain here. You will be treated with everything you want. But will remain in this room." He told her as he turned to walk out of the room.
"You can't keep me locked in here! You can't do this!" She shouted as the door closed behind him.
She tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge.
She closed her eyes and slid down onto the floor.
She had to find a way out of there for her and her daughter.
