Jezebel was nervous as they walked through the base doors, but she had Roland by her side, calming and reassuring. They were met by a receptionist who called the back office, of which they entered into after being accepted. Roland walked in first, the commander greeting him, "Roland, glad to see you back." Then he regarded Jezebel, "Ah, and you brought along your girlfriend." He held his hand out to Jezebel, "Commander Gray. I've been waiting for you."
Jezebel blushed slightly at being called Roland's girlfriend, but it was true, even more than that. They were married, they were soulmates. It was new being with a man that she had just met, but her memories of Telba made it easier. She now held both Uthera's and her own memories. It was a lot to work with. She took the last steps toward the commander and took his hand, "It's nice to meet you Commander Gray." She took back her hand, turning a bit bashful, "You knew my father?"
Gray chuckled, "No, no. That was my father. I took over after he retired. I know Robert was a wild one."
A reason why you killed him, she thought. It made her angry, but she couldn't be too mad, his death was a blessing. But that didn't mean he couldn't have changed. Gray motioned for them to sit and they did, Jezebel looking over to Roland for comfort. He was with her; she reminded herself, thankful she wasn't alone. He'd done so much for her, her whole life. He smiled at her warmly and it instantly relaxed her. She turned to face Gray, "Roland told me there's a pyramid spaceship here. Can I see it?"
Gray smiled, his hands folded on the desk in front of him, "That's one of the reasons why we wanted you here. To take a look at it. See if you can tell us anything about it that your father couldn't."
She nodded, thinking about it. She thought back to her days on Arcturus. She didn't remember any kind of pyramid. They didn't have spaceships of that shape. So why was Roland in it? She knew now that they had prematurely entered the mind tunnel, which was why the order of the siblings was off, and why Roland and she were separated, but where did the spaceship come from? Why didn't Roland have parents? And why was he still an alien, in human form no less. "I'd like to see it now."
The commander laughed, "Well you're eager. I like that, you're willingness to help. We need a lot of your help. We have knowledge that there will be a Draconian invasion."
Her eyes widened slightly. Those beings were evil. She shivered, thinking about what she had seen so far. Those insane expressions from the celebrities. The scaly green skin that appeared on her father. What they did to her parents. Her blood boiled and she said sternly, "We will fight them. We will win, even if I die trying." It wasn't an issue if they died. Their minds would travel back through the mind tunnel. Then it dawned on her, her father was already on Pleiades. She hoped he wasn't causing trouble. But as the Andromedan had said, he wasn't like the other Draconians. She rested assured with that knowledge in mind. Getting her thoughts back on track, she added, "My sister can aid in the battle. She is a warrior."
Gray looked taken aback, in a good way. His eyes lit up, "Is that so? Then I would very much appreciate if we can get her here."
Jezebel felt bad that she had mentioned Belinda, her little sister was so sweet and meek, not currently meant for battle. As mentally strong as she was, she wouldn't have any clue how to fight. Unless she remembered as well. Jezebel could do that now, she could help her remember as Roland had helped her. She nodded, "I can bring her here, after I see that ship." '
The commander nodded, standing, "Come with me."
They were led into the elevator where they descended. Jezebel was anxious to see a spaceship, she'd always wanted to. The doors opened and she was immediately in awe of the sheer size of it. Of how beautiful it was. She walked quickly up to it and brushed her hand along the symbols. She was in love with it all ready, having an obsession with Egyptian culture. It was funny, her father hated Egypt, yet he knew how to decipher this. Perhaps he was different back then. She wondered what had happened to make him go crazy. But keeping the task in mind, she walked around it until she found the embedded handprint. Already knowing she'd be able to open it she placed her hand to it, the door sliding open. Roland and Gray followed her inside.
She went straight to the cockpit where she saw the colored buttons. She knew exactly what to do. Yellow, red, purple, blue, green. But what were the numbers? She pushed the buttons but nothing happened. She heard Gray behind her, "Here, let me. We have your father's notes."
She stepped aside, watching carefully at the numbers he pressed in before he placed the note back into his pocket, stepping back. "Now push up the lever," he urged.
She did as he said and the cockpit lit up and the engine roared. She saw the lone button now. Gray noticed her staring at it, "That's the launch button. There's an intercom to your left. Roland made contact with the senders of the ship but they wanted to talk to you."
She pursed her lips, she knew many alien languages, her whole family had, and she nodded, "I can definitely talk to them." She turned to the intercom and pressed the button down. There was static, but then she heard a faint voice, <<This is Andromeda, who is speaking?>>
Her eyes went wide and she turned to Roland, "You're from Andromeda."
He nodded, "The mind tunnel sent me there, changing my genetics along the way, it was a pretty large malfunction. They sent me down to Earth in this ship."
She nodded upward, "Oh. That makes a lot of sense." The being on the line spoke again, pressing to know who was talking. She leaned into it, <<This is Uthera. I'm here with Telba.>>
There was a moment of static before, <<Uthera. We are glad you two are together again. Without one another, you cannot complete the mission.>>
She already knew that, but she figured they just wanted to know if she was finally with Roland, to check in. <<Can this ship handle battle?>>
She waited.
<<There is a hidden turret below.>>
She turned to Gray, "Did you know about that?"
He shook his head, "We never found a turret."
She turned back to the intercom, <<How do we get to the turret?>>
<<There is a loose panel. Move it aside. There you will find it. Press the button beside it and the ship wall will open.>>
She turned toward Gray once more, "You better teach your men how to fly this ship."
