(Hogwarts – Training Grounds)

It was early in the morning at Hogwarts, Alexander and Cedric were following Harry and Wood into out into the Training Grounds as the Quidditch's Gryffindor Keeper teaches Harry the basics of Quidditch. Harry and Wood both carried a wooden case with one hand: Harry with his left and Wood with his right. Inside was the necessary equipment for playing the sport, such as the balls used in games. Wood also held a wooden bat in his left-hand.

"Quidditch is easy enough to understand. Each team has 7 players: 3 Chasers, 2 Beaters, 1 Keeper, and a Seeker." Wood explained.

They soon stop and set the case and bat down on the ground. Wood opens up the case to show the balls used in Quidditch.

"There are 3 kinds of balls." Wood spoked.

He picked up a large, red scarlet leather ball and tosses it to Alex who caught it. The ball was approximately the size of a football and had three indentations in its sides.

"This one's called the Quaffle. As for Alexander the Chaser, his job is to handle the Quaffle and try to put it through one of those three hoops." Wood turned around and pointed towards the Quidditch pitch further out in the school grounds.

Besides the towers surrounding the pitch, there were three hoops of different heights that stood out. These were the goals for the Quaffle in order for the teams to score points.

The Keeper turned back to Harry. "The Keeper, that's me, defends the hoops. You with me so far?"

"I think so. What are those?" Harry asked, looking down and saw two other balls that were chained down to the case.

These dark brown iron balls seemed to be bewitched, almost as if they had a mind of their own as they jumped around, making the case jump slightly.

"You have to take caution of them. They're not friendly." Cedric encouraged him.

Wood picked up the wooden bat from the ground and hands it to Harry. "You better take this."

Harry grabbed hold of the bat while Wood kneeled down to the case. He released one of the iron balls and it shoots up into the air. Then it fell back down towards them.

"Careful now. It's coming back." Wood warned.

Harry pulls his right-arm back as the iron ball fell through the air. Soon, he swings the bat and sends the iron ball flying into the air. The ball flew up towards a statue and passed through a gap in the two crossed swords in its hands like a goal.

"Now that's the goal." Alexander said.

"Not bad, Potter. You'd make a fair Beater." Wood impressed slightly.

The ball came flying back through the same gap down towards Wood.

"Uh-oh." Wood gasped before he has caught the iron ball and was knocked to the ground.

The ball jumped around in his grip while he struggled to keep it down on the ground. He crawled over to the case as Alexander and Cedric helped him to chain it back down into place.

"Thanks." Wood smiled at them.

"What was that?" Harry confused.

"That was the Bludger. Nasty little buggers, yet annoying." Alex answered.

"But you... are a Seeker." Wood finished as he goes back to the case, opened up a secret compartment which was a shield representing the four houses of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Inside this compartment was a small walnut-sized golden ball.
