Chapter 9 - Passing the Trials in Underground

(Hogwarts – Gryffindor Common Room)

It was nighttime at Hogwarts as the school stood peacefully quiet. Everyone in the school was asleep except for Alex, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Rosella, who prepared themselves for their mission to reach the Philosopher's Stone before Snape and prevent its theft. They changed out of their school uniforms and changed into causal clothing.

Harry wore a long red sleeve sweater with khaki trousers and black shoes. Ron wore a plaid button long sleeve shirt with a blue shirt underneath, dark blue pants, and black shoes. Hemione wore a multi-colored button sweater, black shorts, and long white legging socks with black shoes. Alex and Rosella were wearing their same outfits during the daybreak and holidays.

With their preparations made, Alex, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Rosella walked out of the dormitories and to leave the Gryffindor Common Room.

But they stopped when they saw a brown toad sitting on the left-arm of a red chair.

"Trevor. Trevor, shh! Go! You shouldn't be here!" Ron whispered.

Neville leaned out from the left of the chair and looked back at the five.

"Neither should you." Neville said.

Neville stands up and faces Alex and his fellow students wearing his blue pajamas.

"You're sneaking out again, aren't you?" Neville asked.

"Now, Neville, listen. We were-" Harry reasoned.

"No! I won't let you. You'll get Gryffindor into trouble again." Neville murmured.

Neville brought up his fists like a boxer. Although he was a bit reluctant, he was willing to keep Gryffindor out of trouble, even if it meant standing up to his friends.

"I-I'll fight you." Neville determined.

"Neville, I'm really, really sorry about this." Hermione replied.

Hermione took out her wand and points it at Neville. She then waved her wand and flicked it at Neville, casting a paralyzing spell.

"Petrifucus Totalus." Hermione chanted.

Neville's body instantly froze up with his arms snapped to his sides and legs snapped together. He fell down backwards onto the floor with a thud, stiff as a board. With Neville down and immobilized, Hermione puts away her wand.

"You're a little scary sometimes, you know that? Brilliant, but scary." Ron commented.

"C'mon. Let's go." Alexander told them.

Alex, Rosella and Wizarding Trio move past the frozen Neville as he laid there on the floor, apologizing to him as they pass by.

"Sorry, Neville." Alex apologized. "We risked everything back there."

"Sorry." Harry apologized.

"Sorry." Hermione apologized.

"Please don't tell your friends." Rosella said.

"It's for your own good, you know." Ron muttered.

(Hogwarts – Gryffindor Dormitory's Hall)

Cedric and Rolf were waiting outside the hole and then the five of them as Harry carried the Invisibility Cloak.

"Is anyone is following you?" Hemione asked.

"No, they haven't noticed us." Cedric answered. "They were asleep."

"Except for me, of course." A voice that came behind them and they turned to see Luke.

"Luke, what are you doing? You were supposed to be in bed." Rosella said.
