The next morning, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Alex, and Rosella sat together for breakfast. Harry turned his food around on his plate with his fork. He was unable to eat due to his nerves, but his friends encouraged him.

"What's wrong, Harry? Nervous about today of the Quidditch?" Alex asked.

"Take a bit of toast, mate. Go on." Ron encouraged.

"Ron's right, Harry. You're gonna need your strength today." Hermione replied.

"I'm not hungry." Harry replied.

Cedric came over to the Gryffindor table after he already eaten his breakfast.

"You need some food before the Quidditch." Cedric replied.

"He's right. We won't played in the pitch on an empty stomach." Rosella added.

"Good luck today, Potter." A voice said.

The six friends turned around and they looked up to see Professor Snape standing behind them.

"Then again, now that you've proven yourself against a troll, a little game of Quidditch should be easy work for you...even against Slytherin." Snape suggested, walked away, heading to the staff table in the hall.

Alexander and Harry noticed the limping in his walk as he moved along the hall.

"That explains the blood." Harry replied.

"Blood?" Hermione asked, looking at Harry.

"Listen. Last night, I'm guessing Snape let the troll in as a diversion so he could try and get past that three-headed dog. But he got himself bitten. That's why he is limping." Harry replied.

"I noticed it too. Though I'm surprised the Cerberus isn't big enough to rip off his leg, just gave him an awful scratch." Alexander replied.

"But why would anyone go near that dog?" Hermione asked.

"The day that I was at Gringotts, Hagrid took something out of the one of the vaults." Harry replied.

"And Luke said it is very important in Hogwarts, in fact it was top secret." Alexander responded.

"So, you're saying..." Rosella replied.

"That's what the dog's guarding. That's what Snape wants." Harry replied.

"Seems rather plausible and secret but there's some problems with this theory, Harry. We still don't know what exactly it was that Hagrid took out of the vault that day. And there's another thing. Why? Why would Snape want to go through all the trouble just to get his hands on some mysterious package? I mean, he seems suspicious enough, but he's still a Potions' teacher. There would have to be some motive for him to want it." Alexander replied.

Suddenly, an owl screech is heard in the air. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Alex, Rosella and Cedric looked up and saw Hedwig flying in with a large package in her talons. She flies over Gryffindor table and drops her package. Harry catches it in his hands and looks at it in confusion.

"Bit early for mail, isn't it?" Hermione asked.

"But I-I never get mail." Harry said.

"Let's open it." Ron told the others.

They all set the package down on the table and ripped off the wrapping paper. The package was revealed to be a broomstick.

"It's a broomstick." Harry replied.

"That's not just any broomstick, Harry. It's a Nimbus 2000!" Ron amazed.

"But who?" Harry said.
