A/N: There are TWO questions at the very end, make sure to read and answer them when you finish reading! I'm curious about y'all's ideas on the matter

----

I'm your prince –

You better be my princess

Lie beside me

Give me your sweet kiss

Don't play coy, you want it too!

"I suffocate because of you"

Here's the thing: Zhou Zishu had never anticipated that his life would come to this. One moment he's the leader of the Window of Heaven, a notorious assassination organization that dominated the North. It's one of the two largest assassin groups out there in the whole world, right by the Scorpions. The next moment, he's Jin Wang's arm candy, his husband.

Zhou Zishu wanted to either laugh or cry at how far he had fallen, how these turn of events could even happen.

His cousin has always been obsessed with things, grew so easily attached to things. First, it was Jing Beiyuan and once he had faked his death and fled with Wu Xi to the South, all of Jin Wang's infatuation and attention turned towards himself.

What a fucking joke.

Zhou Zishu was still allowed to go on missions, his work with the Window of Heaven is far too important to just give up. Being married to Jin Wang just meant that when he came back, he had to sleep in his chambers rather than his own. Had to attend any meetings with the court by Jin Wang's side, all dolled up and pretty as can be. It was disgraceful. It was humiliating. Zhou Zishu hated every minute of it.

They had to consummate the marriage, which was the worst part for Zhou Zishu.

His cousin.

He had to bed his cousin.

More specifically, he had to be bedded by his cousin.

Zhou Zishu could not stand the sight of that man for a month. Jin Wang had apologized, acted as if though it were not his idea but the court officials demanding, but Zhou Zishu knew a lie when he heard one.

Zhou Zishu was not stupid.

Nor was he naive.

He understood exactly what was going on.

Ever since Jing Beiyuan left, Jin Wang had grown more cautious, more paranoid, more fearful that Zhou Zishu would be the next to follow. Leave where he may not reach.

Marriage was a prison to keep Zhou Zishu tied, a leash to keep him in place. As if though his freedom were not restricted enough.

Jin Wang seemed to enjoy playing the part of a doting husband, a thought that actually had Zhou Zishu hurl. He was becoming bold with his touches, had hinted at wanting to sleep with Zhou Zishu intimately again. They had not bedded since the wedding, nearly a year ago.
