Arden is helping pick up wood when the others come. Daryl on the motorcycle., Andrea driving the car, Dale and Carol in the RV. Hershel is examining Carl inside with Rick and Lori. The first thing Carl asks when he wakes up is if Sora and Sophia are okay.
Daryl pulls Arden into a hug as soon as his bike is off, he's up, and she's close enough.
"How is he?" Dale asks.
"He'll pull through," Lori replies. "Thanks to Hershel and his people."
"And Shane," Rick speaks up as Daryl keeps a secure arm around Arden. "We'd have lost Carl if not for him."
Shane is watching as Daryl reunites wirh Arden as Dale gives Rick a hug. Carol and Lori hug and T hugs Andrea. Arden goes through and she hugs the oriole who have shown before they go to the funeral for Otis. Hershel says a prayer as they stack rocks, and Patricia begs for Shane to say a few words. His story unnerves Dale, Daryl, and Arden. They saw the look in his eyes. The guilt.
*********"How's long have these girls been lost?" Hershel asks as he gathers around the hood of the truck with Rick, Daryl, Shane, Andrea, and Arden as Maggie carries a map over.
"This'll make day three," Rick replies.
"Country survey map," Maggie says as she lays it out. "Shows terrain and elevations.
"This has perfect," Shane says. "We can finally get this thing organized."
"We'll frid the whole area, start searching in teams," Rick says.
"Not you, not today," Hershel says to him. "You have three units of blood. You wouldn't be hiking five minutes in this heat before passing out. And your ankle," Hershel looks at Shane as Arden runs to the other side of the RV to throw up due to her morning routine, "push it now, you'll be laid up a month. No good to anybody."
"Guess it's just me and Arden," Daryl says, he can deal with the pregnant one - he'll protect her. "We're gonna head back to the creek, work our way from there."
Arden goes to the stables and she gets Midnight. The black stallion neighs happily at the sight of her. She mounts him before trotting back.
"Hershel," Arden says. "I know you said no guns, but can I keep my sword and daggers?"
"Yeah, yeah," Hershel replies. "Just... no guns."
Daryl walks over and he lets the horse.
"This is by new horse, Midnight," Arden says and Hershel looks at Maggie knowingly.
"He's a beauty."
"Get on," Arden urges. "We're riding. Beth showed me the property yesterday, so I know where I'm going now."
"He's broke," Hershel says. "Or else your girl wouldn't be on him. He wouldn't let her."
"I'll walk, that's not a double saddle," Daryl says.
Arden takes off with Midnignt in a trotting walk, Daryl walks up beside the two. They walk through the woods in search if Sophia and Sora. They're hoping that the girls are still together.
**********Daryl and Arden find the house and Arden gets off the horse. Arden readies her sword while Daryl aims his crossbow as he kicks the door down. They look through the house together and they come up empty and Arden goes outside to look. She sees something pink shining near some dead zombies and she walks over.
"D-DARYL!" She yells out, mama he leaves the pantry room he found and he goes outside. "Sora and Sophia's daggers."
Daryl sees them and he grabs one and twirls it on his finger and he walks over to the Cherokee Rose. He tells Arden the story of the flower when she joins his side while Midnight eats away at the tall grasses.
Arden mounts him and the horse neighs in welcome. Midnight nudges Daryl and rhe redneck climbs up behind Arden, on the backside of the saddle, and Arden gets Midnight to take off in a simple trot.
**********While Daryl goes to talk to Carol about the Cherokee Rose, Arden brings Midnight back to the stables to put him back. She and the horses put their heads together before Arden goes to where the group is setting up camp and she helps them with what she can and what they actually let her do.
All Arden can do is help set up tents and worry about Sora. She has names for her baby, rather it's a boy a girl. Yuri for a girl. Yuri Athena Kim. Chul for a boy. Chul Jon-Il Kim. While setting up tents and worrying about Sora, and Sophia, she worries about her unborn child. Wonders if it'll be a boy or a girl, if it'll be born healthy, if it'll survive this world, if she will survive birth.
Daryl spots Arden sitting down in a chair up against the RV when he finally exits. She's finally sitting down after helping set up tents for camp. He walks over and he sits on the ground beside her.
"I have baby names," Arden says to Daryl.
"What are they?" Daryl asks.
"Yuri Athena for a girl and Chul Jon-Il for a boy," Arden replies as she leans against Daryl, feeling tired. "I'm tired."
Daryl sighs as he wraps an arm around her. "Come on. I set up a little bit further away. Sleep in my tent."
Daryl stands first and he helps Arden up. He leads her to the tent that used to belong to both him and Merle, it's just his now. The redneck let's the Korean enter the tent first before he follows.
