I'd decided to give what Wilbur suggested a go, besides I hadn't been away since Aria left. I also had never gone away with the boys, except for Insomnia gaming festival and the various vidcons.
I called the boys over to my house and we sat on the sofa, I took the armchair.
Will had brought Mia, which I was fine with, as long as she paid for herself.
'A holiday? Where?' Alex asked with his head on George's lap.
This was a valid question, that unfortunately I hadn't thought about too much.
'I-I don't know' I said.
'What about camping?!' Mia said enthusiastically.
'No' We all said in unison. Mia had a face of regret.
'I was thinking something nice, we all have enough money for something reasonably luxury.' Wilbur smirked.
'Like skiing!' Willne said in his steep geordie accent.
'That's not a bad idea' George said, stroking Alex's hair.
'You can't really go proper skiing in England' Alex pointed out.
'Who said we had to stay in England?'  Wilbur replied.
'We could even go to the alps if we wanted' I suggested.
'Like the Swiss ones?' Said Will.
'No the Spanish ones.' I snarked. 'Yes the Swiss ones.'
Mia was on her phone, 'we could drive if we wanted!'
None of us looked particularly thrilled about this.
'Sounds good, Eboys roadtrip!' Said George.
'You're only saying that because you can't drive, you loser.' Alex teased.
'You're a loser.' George lent in to kiss him.
I miss that, just flirting with your person, not caring. I noticed Wilbur on his phone.
'We could book three rooms at a pretty good ski resort for 300 a night.' He said.

'Not too shabby.' Will said in approval.
'Crap, the offers only on for another hour.' Wilbur said.
'Just book it.' I said. 'We could always cancel it.'
On the website,booking was quite an affair, we decided a date and the cabins. They were all sold out of the group ones so we settled for couples ones. Obviously, Willne and Mia in one, Alex and George in another. That left me and Wilbur Soot, we are going to share but requested two single beds.
I felt very single in that moment, but that feeling was replaced by excitement as the reservations went through.
'Oh,' Said Wilbur, my heart sank. 'We aren't accepting cancellations due to harsh conditions.' he read.
'Oh thats fine, I thought the booking hadn't gone through or something' Said Mia, which I related to.
'What the fuck does harsh conditions mean?'
I shrugged.

Two weeks later...
I can't believe Mia cancelled on us, what a waste of money.

That got me thinking... who else could come? My mind immediately went to Kaylnn, my heart fluttered but I tried to repress it.
I texted her the dates, she probably wouldn't even be able to come, right?

I was even more excited for the trip now...

I had decided to invite the crew round again, so they could properly meet Kaylnn and so we could fine tune some details about the trip. I sat on the sofa scrolling through instagram, when there was a knock on my door. I stride over and look through the peephole.
Kaylnn.
My breath hitches, but I repress it as I open the door.
'Hi, come in!' I smile leaning against the doorframe. She's wearing a black jumpsuit with pink flowers on it and some converse trainers. And red lipstick.
I suddenly realise that Kalynn's never been to my house before, it's luckily pretty clean, but I start to panic none the less.
'Hello! Nice place James.' She says, her glimmering brown eyes staring up into mine.
'Oh, er thanks' I chuckle nervously, shit, I'm so awkward and for what;
She's just a friend.
We make our way to the living room.
'The guys will be here soon, they're just picking up some booze, wait do you drink?' I ask, I assume so, but you never know with Americans.
'Yeah, i didn't drink in the States, but here i drink occasionally.'
Disaster averted.
We just sit for a while, with anyone else, even Aria, it would be awkward. But for Kaylnn and I, it's not.
We're such good friends.
There's a knock at the door, it's Will and Wilbur.
'Hi guys!'
'Where's Al and George? I thought they were coming with you?'
'Yeah, they're in the car still'
'Probably making out or something, I'm not going to question it to be honest.'
I'm slightly jealous, having a relationship with someone, your friends not giving a fuck. Even when Aria was in the country it wasn't like that.
My friends never liked Aria much, said she only liked me for my money, or that she would break my heart. I didn't listen, of course, and for good reason. Don't my friends want me to be happy.
Will, George and Alex can date whoever they please, but as soon as I find someone I like, its different.

We all sat on the sofa, talking about the boring stuff, like money and the drivers schedule. Everyone except George and Kaylnn would be driving, because neither of them can drive.
We would be taking Wilburs' friend Jacks Tesla, because he was meant to be storing it in his garage while he went on holiday, and, although it's kind of a dick move, its cheaper than hiring some car to fit the six of us in.
After that we decided to watch a film, following a long and tedious voting session, we decided on It. Only George and Wilbur had seen it, so it seemed like a good choice.

I hauled a couple of beanbags into the living room and Will and Wilbur sat on them. George and Alex cuddled into the armchair, and Kaylnn and I took the couch.I could only find a couple of blankets, so I just put one on the armchair and one on the sofa.
The movie was scarier than I expected and trying to hide behind a blanket that  you are sharing with a girl who keeps looking over at you and giggling is no easy task.
Wilbur sat completely unfazed on the beanbag, while the couple on the armchair were practically snogging through the whole thing.

At one jump scare, Kaylnn reached for my hand, I looked down at it. My heart beat faster. I gulped and attempted to continue focusing on the movie. A few minutes later the clown jumped out, I've never seen IT, I'm just guessing Kaylnn visibly jumped and just as I was about to laugh at her for being scared, she shuffled closer to me, and I forgot what I was doing.

After the movie, everyone went home and I sat down and perused through instagram again. I stopped at a picture of Kaylnn. I smiled.
