Heroneka and Harry had returned from Hogsmeade. Heroneka didn't want to talk to anyone at all. She had gone to the Great Hall with Harry, Ron and Hermione, where they had their dinner in silence because Percy sat next to them. When they arrived in the Common Room, Fred and George were bursting tiny crackers after which the entire Gryffindor Tower was going crazy. Harry had gone straight to bed without talking to any of them. Heroneka did the same. When Hermione had tried talking to her, she pretended to be asleep. And then, Heroneka had activated her Invisibility Shield, left the Gryffindor Tower, followed a prefect into Slytherin Common Room and went to see Draco.

Draco had asked all his dorm mates to leave because he had sensed Heroneka's fragrance and knew she was there, invisible inside her shield. Heroneka realised how much authority Draco had, when the other four boys, including Crabbe and Goyle, left the dorm without asking a question.

"You knew all along, didn't you?" Heroneka asked Draco.

Heroneka was sitting next to Draco on his bed, talking.

"Yes," he mumbled. "I couldn't tell you though."

"Why?" She looked him in the eyes. "You knew about the attack too. You told me that you knew it wasn't Sirius Black who attacked me? Now, you also know that he betrayed my father, Harry's parents, let them die and then went to Azkaban!"

Draco didn't say a word and kept his eyes fixed at his hands as they sat facing each other on his bed.

"Why didn't you tell me anything?" She asked him again.

"I didn't have a choice." He said abruptly. "What do you think, Snitchy? That just because my parents are alive my life is perfect? Just because I am rich, I'm supposed to be happy? And, just because I know things about what you don't know, I should tell you?"

He waited for a moment then continued. "Can you imagine? Me! Telling you and your fake boyfriend, Potter, about Sirius Black. Wow! What a lovely hangout idea that is. Why didn't I think of it before?"

Draco sighed looking away from her. "I know... A lot of things. But I can't talk about them. I can only try to keep you safe from what I believe can harm you."

The dormitory door opened.

"Draco," said Crabbe's voice.

Heroneka and Draco looked at him standing by the door of the dormitory. He stared at Heroneka with wide eyes for a few moments. He hadn't seen her when they had left the dormitory.

"Not a single word to anyone!!" Draco hissed at him. "Don't let anyone here unless I come out."

Crabbe nodded and left, shutting the door behind him hurriedly.

"Your father and my mother were very good friends, Snitchy," Draco said, tucking a streak of hair behind Heroneka's ear. "They parted ways when your mother got pregnant. After that, they never saw each other."

Heroneka didn't say a word. She wanted to hear him out. Draco was so misunderstood by everyone because he was expected to be like that. But Heroneka knew better of him. She knew that Draco was kind to those he loved, for instance, his mother. And now, Heroneka too.

"All I knew about Sirius Black, is that he was friends with Potter's parents and he betrayed them. He betrayed your father too." Draco held her hands in his. "I thought, you and Potter knew about it already. But... I was wrong."

Heroneka still didn't say anything. Draco watched her quietly, then touched the silver chain around her neck. He carefully pulled it out of the neck of her robes and checked the locket.

"You still wear the Malfoy ring!" He smiled brightly, touching the Malfoy ring hanging on to her locket's chain.

"I do," she mumbled watching him fiddle with the ring.
