[ sooyoungs pov ]
"YAHH! SOOYOUNG-AH WAKE UP!" i heard my sister yell from downstairs. i was casually having my peaceful beauty sleep, not until my annoying older sister just had to wake me up.
"aish.." i started running my fingers through my hair as i sat up on my bed, still not wanting to fully awaken. that was, until i heard the words that set me into slight panic.
"YOU'RE LATE FOR SCHOOL, GET DOWN HERE."
eyes wide open, i check my phone to see what the time is.
7:57
shit.
school starts at 7:30 so after seeing the time, i quickly jumped out of bed to go wash myself up. dashing to the bathroom down the hall, i took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, changed, and put on some light makeup.
oh how much i really didn't want to go to school, but the only reason for me to is because i could see him.
walking down the stairs, i met up with my sister who prepared breakfast for me. about our parents, they passed away in a burning building a few years back. the fire was declared as arson, and i'm determined to figure out who did such a thing that killed my beloved parents. it affected me a lot, but i've gotten better ever since then.
"hey seulgi." i greeted my sister. "you're just gonna 'hey seulgi' me? you're running late for pete's sake!" i sat down and started eating the breakfast she made. "i know, but i really don't give a damn about school anymore."
"aish seriously this girl..." she whispered underneath her breath and shook her head clearly showing that she was disappointed in me. "well then at least hurry up and eat so you can get to see him~" she winked at me before leaving the room.
and there she goes again with that tease, trying to motivate me to go to a place of living hell. yes, i do have a crush. and his name is park sunghoon. the schools heartthrob whom almost every girl is head over heels for. yup, including me. i'm disappointed in myself for falling for someone i never have a chance with, but who could blame me? he's technically irresistible. his whole group of friends is that one popular group that all girls love and all guys are envious of. they named themselves "enhypen".
but if i was being completely honest with you, that one certain tease from seulgi did work every time as i was already out the door on my way to a place of "education".

when i arrived at school, the time was 8:20. almost an hour late. i ran to my locker and hurriedly got everything for my first block which was history. after i got all of the stuff i needed, i ran upstairs to my classroom.
bursting the door open, the first thing i heard was, "it was about time for you to join us, ms. kang." hearing my strict professor made me die a little bit inside, and made me even want to smack him, but i had to keep my image in front of my class.
"sorry mr. choi, i accidentally slept in today." i told the truth instead of lying because i didn't feel like making up an excuse. "detention after school. make sure not to do that again."
"yes sir.." after replying with a 90 degree bow, i hastily walked over to my seat which was near the back.
class went on and i felt a little drowsy, but i didn't sleep as the last time i did i got caught and was put into major trouble. as i said, this man is really strict.
i didn't feel like going through that much today, so i just decided to listen to the lecture.

it was finally lunch time so i met up with my group of friends. at school we're known as "itzy", but little do these low level students know that we're actually a famous gang underground called "black rose". hate to brag, but we're one of the highest ranking female gangs.
we started walking down the stairs, through the hallways and towards the cafeteria to eat our meals.
"hey, i heard you were late today." ryujin said from my right. "yup, you heard that right, i slept in. i guess last nights mission got to the best of me." that's correct, yesterday our gang had a mission very late at night, causing us to sleep a lot later than usual. i probably wasn't used to sleeping that late, resulting to me sleeping in.
"i told you we should've left that mission to rv, we're still in school ya know." lia started to complain. you heard her, rv. short for red velvet. that's the gang that my sister is in, and whom were also allied with. "well yea we could've, but we wouldn't wanna put them through that much trouble now would we?" chaeryoung stated her way into the talk. "mhm, i agree with chaeryoung unnie." yuna replied to the conversation from the front.
"hey guys? i'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick, you all can go ahead of me." we stopped walking after i spoke. yeji looked around before answering. "well alright then, we'll be in the cafeteria. let's go girls." she lead them to where they would eat while i went over into the females bathroom.
after doing my business, i washed my hands and walked out only to do something really embarrassing.
yup, i bumped into someone.
"omo- i'm so sorry." i helped them to get up, i couldn't see their face that clearly as their bangs were covering it.
after they got up, they immediately apologized while bowing. "oh no no it's alright, i should've watched where i was going."
wait, why does that voice sound so familiar?
i looked up only to see...
"r-renjun..?"
