[ sooyoungs pov ]

"woah, wait, you're saying that all of the research that you've been doing is about finding the person behind the death of sooyoungs parents?" yuna questioned, receiving an affirmative nod from yeji.

i couldn't believe it. after so many years of searching, the man whom i dreaded almost my entire life was finally discovered.

not being able to take all of the emotions flowing through my body, i dropped down to my knees as i broke out into tears.

yeji, who was next to me, bent down to face me at eye level and patted my back. she comforted my crying self for a bit, not saying a word. after a few more pats, she told me, "hey, it's gonna be okay. now be strong so we can get through his information together, alright?"

nodding while wiping my tears, she helped me get up as she faced back towards her laptop. sitting into her swivel chair as the rest of us were gazing at the screen from behind her, yeji soon started typing things into her keyboard, scrolling down to all of the information needed.

after scrolling to the right place, the girl spoke out. "his gang name goes by 'xi', and his group is 'black mamba'. apparently he's their leader too."

"wait, black mamba, i've heard that somewhere." yuna spoke up. "yea, i'm pretty sure black mamba is one of the most well known gangs underground." ryujin said, answering yuna's questioning.

"i've also heard that their group is a lot bigger in size compared to the normal amount of members in a regular gang like ours." chaeryoung brought up. lia began to butt in, "well then that means it'll be hard to attack their group if we decide to get back at him, won't it?"

"with the amount of members they have, yes. it will be a challenge." yeji replied. continuing as she scrolled down to acquire more information, she stated. "turns out he's having a party at one of the biggest venues in seoul. it's this sunday and any gang can join."

after staying quiet for what felt like a long time, i took my chance to speak. "well then if it's a party for any gang to join, then how about we go? it'll probably be our only way for that bitch to finally get what he deserves."

springing up from her chair, yeji protested. "woah woah, what do you mean you wanna go to the party? did you not hear what any of us just said?"

"well yea i know that it'll be hard to do it, but it's our only chance yeji!" i started to raise my voice as i was already not quite in the right state of mind.

"sooyoung, not only will it be a hard task, but it's dangerous too! the amount of gangs that'll be there, who knows what they're planning on doing! knowing the work of gangs, i can guarantee that there will be some that will take this party for granted."

"but yeji, this is our big chance, you know how long i've waited for this moment to avenge my parents!"
sighing, yeji pinched the bridge of her nose. "look, i know that you want to do this for your parents, and i get that. but going to that party could get us in serious trouble or severely hurt!"

"then we can just be cautious of our surroundings and just do whatever we need to kill that guy!" i started yelling, tears started forming in the brim of my eyes as i was still emotional from learning this information earlier.

"that won't be enough! the amount of gangs that are going to be there is unpredictable, but seeing that his gang is well known there are definitely going to be lots attending." yeji sighed.

"all i want is for that guy to get what he deserves! don't you understand that?!" i exclaimed, having my emotions get the best of me.

yeji looked as she was already getting tired. "i do! i just don't want any of us getting badly hurt through this! remember, he burnt down a whole building just to get at one person! don't you see how powerful he is? not to mention the other gangs as well!"

"well that doesn't change the fact that he still killed my parents. all i want is to get back at him! he murdered my parents and a bunch of other innocent people for gods sake!" after yelling out my last remark, i stomped out of the meeting room as i treaded back to mine in order to get some sleep. the argument had already stressed me out enough.

[ ryujins pov ]

looking at the other girls, we were all stunned at the fact that yeji and sooyoung just argued. those two usually never would, and if they did it would only be in a teasing manner.

i decided to speak as i looked over to yeji, who was rubbing her temples out of stress. "hey, yeji. i don't think you should've been that hard on her. all she wanted was to get revenge for her parents, and she was still quite emotional too."

she replied, "i know, all she wanted was revenge, but i just genuinely didn't want any of us to get hurt. especially sooyoung, who knows what she could do impulsively when she actually sees xi in front of her in the flesh."

sighing, she continued. "alright, it's getting late, you all should be getting to bed. i'll be off." she stood up, gathering her things and walked out of the room with a distressed look on her face.

all of us looked at each other again, concerned for the both of them. but either way, we still followed yeji's order as we all made our ways out of the meeting room to get some sleep.

this is my first time posting after being on my summer break after my exams so hopefully i'll update a bit more often than before ( no promises tho ~^~ )

this chapter is a bit short compared to my other ones, but hopefully you enjoyed it !!
