"injunie!" the little girl cried out for her best friend.
two small children were out on a playground together, playing a friendly game of tag with just the both of them.
they were having the time of their lives, but that fun was good while it lasted when five year old sooyoung tripped on a rock and scraped her knee on the concrete.
after hearing the cries of pain coming from his dear friend, renjun turned around and ran over to check up on her.
crouching down, he noticed the blood on her knee. "soonie, you're bleeding!" he panicked after seeing the crimson liquid drip from her leg.
throwing his gaze around the park, his eyes landed on their parents having a conversation with each other while seated at a picnic table.
switching his gaze back to sooyoung whom he was currently comforting by hugging her, he slowly unwrapped his arms from her frail body, breaking the hug.
"hey soonie.. i'll be right back, i promise." looking up to renjun, she asked through her sobs. "w-where are you.. g-going, injunie?"
standing up, he replied while dusting off his pants. "i'm gonna call your parents over, they know what to do more than i do."
after seeing sooyoung nod her head, he dashed over to the adults not wanting to waste any time.
waving his hand to get their attention, the little boy yelled. "mr. and mrs. kang!" hearing the child, sooyoungs parents looked over at him.
"yes? what is it renjun?" mrs. kang asked, in a very polite manner to the kid.
"me and soonie were playing tag together, but then she fell and got hurt." not sparing another minute for the adults to react, renjun grabbed mrs. kangs hand with his own tiny one and dragged her over towards her daughter in pain.
gasping at the sight, her father, mr. kang ran over to the petite girl sitting on the ground and picked her up, bringing her to the car.
he opened the door and gently placed her down on the car seat while wiping the blood off of her knee, placing a dora bandaid on the open wound right after.
bucklingupthefragile girl, her father closed the door on her side and headed over to the drivers seat.
"w-wait, your leaving?" poor little renjun wanted to see if his soonie was alright after being treated, but mr. kang starting up his car stated otherwise.
"yes, renjun. we'll be leaving now. i'll make sure to take care of little soonie for you, okay?" mrs. kang replied to the sad boy, peaking over her shoulder to look at him.
