Jay's POV

"Papa, I can walk you know," I said as pierce picked me up in his arms while Leif picked up my duffle bag, "No,no bug don't you think about it, you have stitches in your thigh and severe bruising along your ribs, you're not going to walk whether you like it or not," Papa said as he walked out of the hospital room pierce with me in his arms and lief following behind him. I sighed softly and rolled my eyes and pulled my hat down to hide my face while gently wrapping my arms loosely around pierces shoulders, "this is completely embarrassing," I said softly, "oh you're making this out to be worse than it is," papa said back as we exited the hospital, I gently laid my head on Pierce's chest my hat providing a small shade to cover most of my face, Papa gently handed me my phone and I gently plugged in my earbuds. I gently put my right earbud in my ear, putting the left one in Pierce's ear, I carefully scrolled through my playlists finding my favorite song.

I sighed softly in relief as I caught sight of our apartment building in the distance, my body instinctively relaxing against Pierce's as I closed my eyes trying to make the time go faster, "you okay princess," Leif asked me softly and I looked over at him nodding my head, "I'm okay bubs, just tired, I spent two day in the hospital, I'm happy to go home and climb into my bed" I replied softly and he nodded smiling softly at me as we got in the elevator. The ride to the apartment was quiet after that," I hope you don't mind bug but your father and I saw you were going to rearrange your room and we didn't want you to do manual labor after getting out of the hospital so We had someone do it for you," papa said and I smiled softly at him, "thank you papa," I replied as he opened the door allowing peirce Leif and I into the apartment, "now I don't want you doing anything that will tear your stitches, so that means you have to let your sister and your friends help you okay," papa said strictly as peirce gently sat on the couch with me in his lap Leif sitting next to us pulling my legs into his lap, "yes papa," I replied and he nodded kissing my forehead, "call us if you need anything okay," he said and I nodded, "okay papa, now hurry before you're late for book club" I replied softly, he nodded waving as he left the apartment. I sighed softly and pulled my hat off my head sitting it on the coffee table, peirce pulled me closer to him his head resting in the crook of my neck as Leif held my hands in his playing with my fingers looking at my hands, "where's ava noi rhys and Asch," I asked softly leaning against the two daemos, "Princess ava took noi to go get you a welcome home cake and rhys and Asch are in the daemos house, something about studying more about humans," Leif said and I nodded softly, "are you guys okay?" I asked softly and Leif stopped playing with my fingers looking at my hands blankly as peirce stiffened his arms tightening around my waist, "we thought we lost you..," peirce said honestly making me look at him in shock, "W-what," I asked, "when we woke up we thought that maybe we could come sleep with you but when we got to your room, your bed was empty. When we walked back out we saw Princess ava sitting on the floor a red mug in her hand and her eyes focused on the magic box, when we asked her where you were she pointed at it told us you were out helping your teammate so we sat down to watch. As we watched it seemed like time went on forever then they said there was a complication it was possible you were caught and it felt like I couldn't breathe princess like I was drowning and my body was shutting down and I couldn't do anything. I couldn't do anything and that was the worst part your were in trouble and we weren't there to protect you, I sat on the edge of my seat everything else faded as I watched the magic box the I heard a bang and whoever was holding the camera dropped down along with everyone there, the there was another bang then anoth and another and another." Leif said making me look at him, "everything was quiet and that quiet seemed to lay an eternity, then you're teammates started to try contacting you and when you didn't answer it was like the world started to collapse and my eyes were leaking, then we could all hear shuffling then you and your teammate appeared and I was so relieved, suddenly I could breath again, you were there, yes you were beaten and bruised and bleeding but you were there. Then I watched as your eyes rolled back and you fell, I watched as everyone ran to help you and when they told us what hospital you were going to peirce and I were up before princess ava," he said softly and I nodded looking down, "I'm sorry," I said as tears filled my eyes, " I just..I wanted to help lieutenant Kim.. I-I couldn't stand there and do nothing..I didn't think it would effect you so much," I continued gently wrapping my arms around both of them as tears ran down my cheeks, "princess we care for you, if something happened to you and we couldn't protect you..it..it would kill us," Leif said softly and peirce hummed in agreement both male wrapping their arms around my waist. We held onto each other for as long as possible before ava and noi busted in screaming welcome back with a cake in their hands.
