Bondita's POV

I was shocked by her statement.May be kakasasurji told her about this.When I remembered about Hira Mandi I trembled in fear.Now also I couldn't forget how they locked me up in a room and had beaten my patibabu mercilessly.My cries could not reach their ears.And I also remembered how people used to call me 'Chori hui Aurat' the day patibabu left me.May be I will not be able to forget it ever.Tears brimmed up in my eyes and they struggled to fall down when I remembered about those days, about those incidents.

"Kya hua yaad nahi hain kya?"Dida asked me.But I was not in the state of answering.May be she reminded me of those incidents purposely because she wanted me to remain silent.

"Kya hua?Ro kyun rahi hain?Sach karwa aur tark ka phal bura hone se koyi nahi rok sakta.Tere pati ne jaise uss din tujhe chod diya tha waise hi phirse chod sakte hain woh tujhe.Isiliye pati ko khush rakh,pati ka zyada se zyada seva kar,pati ka har baat maan aur tabhi dekhna ki pati tere mutthi mein aa jayega.Thik ache (Thik hain)?"She said.

I nodded my head while crying.I did not want to break down in front of her but I couldn't help it.I broke down in front of her.When she noticed me crying she made me sit on the bed and patted my head gently and said,"Ro maat.Bin wajah aurat ke aankho mein nami aur ghar pe pani ki kami,dono hi sobha nahi deta."

I stopped crying and rubbed off my tears.Then she instructed me to do all the household works.I nodded my head but I was thinking that my patibabu is going to take my exam tommorow so I need to prepare myself as well.But she has given me a lot of works which I cannot complete before night.And I also need to complete the task given by my patibabu.I can't ignore any one of them because Kakasasurji told me to listen to Dida and Dida told me to listen to patibabu.Ittu si jaan hu main.Ab kaise karegi saara kam yeh nanhi si Bondita.Whose work should I do first?Ughhh.....a lot of pressures.I definitely need to take a headache medicine.Ok let me do Dida's work first and then Patibabu's.I made my way to the kitchen.

Bihari's POV

I was working in the kitchen when suddenly bahurani ji came and bumped into koyli and the bowl of curry fell from Koyli's hand.

"Sorry sorry.Woh galti se ho gaya.Maine dekha nahi tha ki aap aa rahe the.Aap jayiye main saaf kar dungi."She apologized.

"Arey nahi nahi bahurani ji aapki koyi galti nahi hain.Aur aapko saaf karne ki bhi koyi zaroorat nahi hain.Main kar deti hun saaf."Said Koyli.

Bahurani ji nodded her head and started to fo her work.She seems to be very busy today.I wonder why?Suddenly I remembered this is the time when Bahurani ji reads.I asked her,"Bahurani ji aap iss samay yaha.Yeh to aapki padhayi ka samay hain na?Aap jayiye aur padhayi kijiye warna barristar babu aapke saath saath hume bhi baate sunayenge aur aap to jante hi hain na unka gussa.Hum yeh sab sambhal lenge."

"Haan bahurani ji aap jayiye.Hum dono hain na yaha par."Koyli too supported me.

But she denied,"Nahi nahi mujhe hi karna padega sara kaam kyunki Dida ne kaha hain aur unhone mujhe bohot saara kam diya hain karne ko.Aur agar aplogo ko kuch karna hain to meri madat kijiye."

"Nahi...."Someone shouted from behind.We turned around to see pishi maa standing at the entrance of the kitchen."Koyi madat nahi karega bahu ka.Bahu ko saara kam akele karna padega."

"Par bohot saar kam hain.Itna sara kaam bahurani ji akele kaise karegi?"Said koyli.

"Kaise karegi matlab?Jaise baaki aurtein karte hain waise hi karegi.Iss ghar mein to naukar hain par baaki gharo mein to naukar nahi hain na phir woh log saara kaam kaise sambhalte hain?Yaha to bahu ko sirf rasoyi ka kaam sambhalna padhta hain par baaki gharo mein to aurton ko pura ghar sambhalna padhta hain.Aur waise bhi ghar ki bahu ke rehte hue naukoro ko rasoyi ka kaam karna sobha deta hain kya?Rasoyi ek suddh jagah hoti hain aur naukar log kabhi suddh ho sakte hain kya?To isiliye rasoyi ka kaam ghar ki bahu ko hi karna chahiye.Samjhi na bahu?"She said.
