Tomorrow is the day of Bondita's arrival.I held the letter close to my heart and looked at it once before keeping it back in the box.All these years I hadn't written any letter to Bondita so did she.We had no connection.But we had a connection, connection of heart.Today I need to meet Neel.I picked up my keys and went to Neel's house.

"Kaun hain?"I got response after knocking for several times.The door slowly opened and I saw Neel's mother standing there.

"Neel hain kya?"

"Haan.Waise aap kaun hain?"She asked me.

"Main Neel ki dost Bondita ka pati hun."

"Acha.Ayiye aandar ayiye."She welcomed me.I entered the house and waited for sometime until Neel came. His mother offered me a glass of water and asked me whether I would love to have something.I refused as I wanted to talk to Neel.I and Neel went outside in the garden and I started talking,"Main tumse kuch kehena chahta hun."

"Haan boliye."He said politely.

"Woh....woh...kya tumhe Bondita pasand hain?"I stuttered while asking.He looked confused but immediately smiled and said,"Bondita mera dost hain,aur woh to bohot achhi hain."

He didn't get me.I need to explain.
"Haan woh to janta hun ki woh achhi ladki hain,par tumhe kya woh pasand hain?"I asked looking straight at his eyes.

"Main kuch samjha nahi."He said a bit confused.

"Neel main Bondita ka rishta lekar aaya hun tumhare pass.Main chahta hun ki tum Bondita se....."I said directly but couldn't complete my words.He seemed to get me.

He immediately asked,"Yeh aap kya keh rahe hain?Bondita aur mera vivaah?"And after pausing for a moment he said,"Main yeh vivaah nahi kar sakta hun."

"Lekin kyun?"I said controlling myself.

"Kyunki uske dil mein mere liye koyi jagah nahi hain."

"Kya tumhare dil mein uske liye koyi jagah nahi hain?"I asked immediately. He said not maintaining an eye contact with me,"Pyaar ek tarfa nahi hota hain."

I stood in front of him and held him by his shoulders,"Tum Bondita ka bohot achha dost ho.Aur main janta hun ki tum uska bohot ache se khyaal rakh payoge,uski har ek ichha,har ek zidd pura kar payoge aur ussey khush bhi rakh payoge,mujhse bhi zyada." And after pausing for a moment I said,"Uski jo ichha main pura nahi kar paya woh ichha tum pura kar payoge,main janta hun.Aur har ek ladki usey hi apna jeevan saathi banana chahegi jo uski har ek ichha ko pura kar paye."

He removed my hand from his shoulder and said,"Nahi Anirudh babu,ek ladki usey hi apna jeevan saathi banana chahti hain jiske saath woh khush reh payegi.Aur Bondita mere saath nahi balki aapke saath khush reh payegi.Maine uske aankho mein aapke liye samman,bharosa, vishwaas,pyaar,sab kuch dekha hain. To aap yeh kaise keh sakte hain ki Bondita aapke saath khush nahi reh payegi."He asked me.But I had no answer to his questions."Aap hi batayiye naa ki kya aap uske alawa jee payenge?"

"Shayad nahi."

"To aap ussey kisi aur ko kyun saunp rahe hain?Kya aap ussey apna jeevan saathi nahi banana chahte hain?"

"Kash....kash aisa ho pata.Kash main Bondita ko apna jeevan saathi bana pata.Par aisa ho nahi sakta."

"Kyun nahi ho sakta?"He asked me.

"Kyunki maine Bondita ko kabhi apna patni mana hi nahi.Maine humesha ussey apna zimmedari hi mana hain."

"To zimmedari hi rehene dijiye na Bondita ko.Aap kisi aur ko kyun saunp rahe hain Bondita ki zimmedari?"
