"Patibabu aap mazak kar rahe hain na?"Said I on the verge of crying.
"Main mazak nahi kar raha hun."Said he sternly.
"To kya aap sach mein chahte hain ki aapki Bondita dur chali jaye aapse?"
"Haan."He said while my heart broke into pieces.
"Kya aap sach mein chahte hain ki aapki Bondita dur chali jaye aapse?"I again asked the same question.
This time patibabu said calmly,"Bondita main tumhe aapne aap se dur nahi bhej raha hun.Main to bass itna chahta hun ki tum London jaa kar padhayi karo.Ek barrister bano.Barrister babu Bondita bano."
But I remained quite.What should I say?Seeing me he cupped my face and made me look into his eyes."Dekho Bondita, humara sapna tha naa ki tum Barrister babu bano.To jab yeh sapna pura karne ka mauka mil raha hain tumhe to tum yeh mauka kyun gawana chahti ho."But I removed his hand from my face and said,"Mere parivaarwalon se zyada zaroori nahi hain mere liye Barrister banna.Main nahi jaungi London."
"Bondita tum....."He was cut off by me,"Nahi patibabu main nahi jaungi."
"Tumhe jana hoga."This time he said this pretty rudely.
"Nahi nahi nahi.....nahi jaungi."I kept on repeating the same words."Bass Bondita.Bondita tumhe jana hoga.Tumne wada kiya tha mujhse ki main jo chahunga tum mujhe woh gurudakshina mein doge.To yeh hi hain mera gurudakshina."Saying this he threw the submission certificate on the bed and went away.
I sat down on the floor with a jerk. I have promised him but little did I know that my promise will turn into a nightmare.I promised him because I trusted him that he will never misuse it.But he did.He misused my promise just because he wanted me to go to London.Today I understood that trusting someone blindly can destroy our life and can break our trust.Today I am promising myself that I will never trust anyone and will never promise anyone.Because trusting someone only leads to heart break. I will never trust anyone,especially this man.....
Blind trust is just like nails.The longer you have,the more dangerous it becomes.
