"Bahu aaj khane mein kya bana rahi ho?"Dida asked Bondita while she was making food."Woh..."She couldn't speak further."Woh Dida Bondita khana nahi banati hain kyunki ussey vidyalay jana parta hain na isiliye. Khana to Koyli banati hain."I completed her sentence."Kya?"Dida asked furiously."Khana Koyli banati hain aur Koyli ke haatho ka khana tum sab log khate ho.Trilo tujhe kitni bar mana kiya hain ki naukoro ko saara kaam mat saunpa kar.Arey kuch to kaam bachni chahiye na ghar ki bahu ke liye.Naukoro ko sar pe chadhana aur ghar ki bahu ko padhana likhana,dono ka phal hi acha nahi hota."She aaid this pointing towards Koyli and Bondita respectively.I don't know why this society thinks that girls should not be eduacted.And servants should not cook food.....what nonsense is this?

I couldn't control myself and said,"Dida ladkiyan padhayi kyun nahi kar sakte aur naukar khana kyun nahi bana sakte."

"Arey naukar log asuddh hote hain aur unn logo ke chune se khana asuddh ho jate hain."She said.I could see Koyli's eyes becoming moist.If in our house servants face this much humiliation then what happens to other servants."Aur ladkiyan padhayi karke kya karegi banna to kisi ki patni aur kisi ghar ki bahu hi na.To jab padhayi likhayi karne se ladkiyon ko fayda hi nahi hain to phir padhayi likhayi karne ka matlab hi kya hain.Padhayi karke to ghar pe hi baithe rehena hain na?Bahar jaa kar paise to nahi kama payegi na.To jo kaam karne se kuch hoga nahi woh kaam kyun kare bhala ladkiyan?Issey acha to hain ki ladkiyan kuch ghar ka kaam sikhe,khana banana sikhe,silayi karna sikhe,kapde dhona sikhe jissey unhe fayda mile."She said making me furious.

"Par Dida ladkiyan padhayi karke ghar pe kyun baithi rahegi.Balki woh log to padhayi karke apna sapna pura karegi,jaise Bondita karegi apna sapna pura.Hain na Bondita?"I said and looked at her.She nodded her head and smiled gently.

"Acha ti kya sapna hain bahu ka?"

"Bondita aur mera sapna hain ki Bondita mere tarha ek barrister bane,Barrister babu Bondita."

She laughed hard and said,"Barrister babu Bondita.Arey barrister banna to dur ki baat hain,padhayi likhayi karna puri kar le wahi badi baat hain.Aur waise bhi mere rehte hue main iss ghar ki kisi bhi ladki ko padhayi karna to dur,padhayi ka naam bhi muh mein nahi lane dungi."And turning towards Bondita she said,"Aur bahu ajse tu vidyalay nahi jayegi.Aur yeh hi mera aakhri faisla hain."

I was enraged.Why can't Bondita go to school?I will send Bondita to school no matter what."Aapka aakhri faisla hone se mujhe koyi fark nahi parta.Mein Bondita ko school zaroor bhejunga.Bondita jayo jaa akar school jane ke liye tyaiyaar ho kar aayo.Warna der ho jayegi."

"Nahi Bahu tu vidylay nahi jayegi."

"Haan Bondita tum vidyalay jaayogi."

"Nahi bahu."

"Haan Bondita."

"Nahi."

"Haan."

"Nahi."

"Haan."

"Nahi."

"Haan."

"Chup!Chup ho jayiye aap dono."She shouted all of a sudden."Dida agar aap chahte hain ki main vidyalay na jaun to thik hain, main vidyalay nahi jaungi.Nahi jaungi main vidyalay."She said and ran upstairs.What did she say just now?She will not go to school.Why is she not arguing in front of Dida?Is she afraid of Dida?I could see Dida smiling evilly and went away.Soon everyone followed.I was the only one who was standing there thinking why is Bondita doing all these?I will not spare her at any cost today.No one can save her from my wrath now.I will see her.

It was almost 12 pm.I told Bihari to make a cup of coffee.Actually now a days I do not like the coffee of Bihari as I am habituated with the coffee of Bondita.I don't know what she mixes in her coffee that makes it so tasty and relaxing.Today I was suffering from a little headache because of all the incidents that took place in today morning.And Bondita's coffee is my rescue when my head is aching.But today I can't tell her to make a cup of coffee for me because I am angry with her and I want to show her my anger.Suddenly I heard the tingling sound of payel........Bondita's payel.I closed my eyes and let out a sigh in frustration.Let her come and then I will show her who am I.
