O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?

Violet pulls away from the kiss, and looks at Ashley with uncertainty.

"What's wrong?" Ashley asks.

"Please, just promise me that this life we have planned out for us is actually going to happen." I ask her.

"For fuck's sake Violet, of course i'm serious!"

"I promise." She says, leaning her forehead against mine.

"Okay." I smile.

After about half an hour of Violet and Ashley discussing their escape plans in detail, the director calls everyone out again.

Violet and Ashley join the group, everyone crowding around Mr. Jackson once again.

"Alright people, five minutes until you go on that stage and give it everything you got! I need my tech people testing the lights and sounds one last time and my actors, stay where you are, i will call you when you need to go on!"
Mr. Jackson announces to everyone.

"Alright, good luck!" He says, walking out into the audience to greet people.

Violet looks over at Ashley, taking her hand and squeezing it tightly.

Ashley looks back at Violet, smiling, squeezing her hand back.

"I should probably go get a seat, i'll sit in the very front." I say to Ashley.

"Good luck Ash, you'll do amazing." I say letting go of her hand.

"Thank you Vi, for everything you've done." Ashley says almost getting teary eyed, smiling at Violet as she walks away.

Violet gets a front and center seat in the audience, she looks around seeing all the people crowd in, taking their seats.

"Ladies and gentleman, first i want to thank you all for coming out tonight, these kids have worked so hard to put this performance together, so without further ado, i present to you 'Romeo and Juliet'!"

The audience starts clapping as Mr. Jackson gestures to stage and walks away.

As the bright stage lights come on, the audience's applause dies down and on the stage, Violet sees a few actors come out.

The first few scenes end and a few actors leave the stage when suddenly the stage lights go out and then after a few moments, turn back on.

Violet's eyes widen and can't help but smile when she sees Ashley.

"Now by my maidenhead at twelve years old, i bade her come. What, lamb! What, ladybird! God forbid! Where's this girl? What, Juliet!" One of the actors calls out.

"How now, who calls?" Ashley asks.

"Your mother."

"Madam, i am here, what is your will?" Ashley asks again.

The scene continues on, Ashley, of course still doing amazing as ever, without a doubt carrying the play.

After a while, the lines begin to become familiar to me, as i see Ashley stand on a fake balcony, talking to 'Romeo'.

"Who is there?" Ashley asks.

"It is me, Romeo!"

"Oh my god, i got scared for a moment...but why are you here?"

"I just wanted to see you, i couldn't stay away from you."

"What if they find you; they will kill you!"

"I don't care my love. At least, i will have seen you for the last time!"

"Oh Romeo, you're so sweet, i wish you were a Capulet so i could marry you!"
