Ever since that day at the nurse's office, Eren stuck to her like a lint. Not that she's complaining, the younger boy's presence was a tad more tolerable than those past few months since he'd been in the school. Although there are occasional teases and petty arguments, Mikasa got used to it.
Now that their exams are finally finished, Mikasa's priority is the upcoming festival that will be held in less than a month. The preparations are going well despite the infrequent miscalculations. Nonetheless, it was all going according to plan.
"Man, our exam in algebra had me going crazy." Eren groaned. "My mind went boom." He added with a gesture of his hand accompanied by exploding sounds.
"Didn't I taught you algebra like days ago?" Mikasa asked as she twirled her pen in her finger.
"I got a B+, that's fine with me." Eren uttered out. He then glanced at the paper Mikasa is currently working on.
He frowned. "Really? You gotta do that here?"
Mikasa looked up to see Eren frowning at the papers. He looks like a puppy at the moment, his current expression reminded her of her older brother's dog back in the day.
"You look like a shih tzu." Mikasa blurted out, giggling as Eren's eyebrows knitted in confusion.
"Are you serious?"
Mikasa chuckled before pointing her pen towards Eren's messy man bun. "Yeah. Like those dogs that got their hair tied up in a ponytail. You look cute though."
Mikasa casually got back to her paperworks, missing the chance to see a flustered Eren Yeager. The younger boy coughed.
"So, Ackerman," he began. "What's it like to be a student council president?"
"Why? You're going to run for elections next year?" Mikasa scoffed.
Eren shook his head, "No. I'm really curious because all you do is that paperwork. Do me instead." He whispered the last part.
"What?" Mikasa asked, not hearing the last few words.
"What." Eren asked back.
Mikasa noticed some students looking at them and started whispering. She cleared her throat and fixed herself before seating a bit to the right. Eren, is no doubt, a good-looking boy, of course people will talk about him hanging out with someone like her. A plain, boring, and uptight student council president.
This is what Mikasa hates. The rumors.
Eren furrowed his eyebrows as soon as Mikasa scooted farther from where she was seating. She was in front of him and suddenly she was seated at the corner of the bench.
"Yo, Yeager!" Eren turned around and found Connie waving at him. The boy jogged to where they are seated and sat beside Eren.
"Great. Another headache." Mikasa thought to herself.
"I thought we're going to watch Jean's practice? What are you doing here?" Connie questioned, looking at Eren anticipatingly.
Eren took a brief glance towards Mikasa, who is busy with the papers, yet again. He cleared his throat and faced Connie.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. Let's go." Connie nodded and stood up before walking ahead.
Eren looked at Mikasa again. "I gotta go."
Mikasa just nodded in response. At least the whispering of the students will go away when Eren is out of view.
Eren, on the other hand, is torned. To no absolute idea why, he wants to accompany Mikasa in doing her paperworks, even if it means he does the talking. But at the same time, he promised Jean that he will watch his practice, to which he totally forgot about.
