The sound of chattering students invaded Mikasa's ears as soon as she entered their territory. With Armin walking behind her as a company, together, they made their way towards where the 11th graders are.
Mikasa knocked on the door lightly, smiling once the professor turned their attention towards both student officers.
"How may I help you?" The professor asked, adjusting their glasses.
"Good morning professor Hange, sorry for the disturbance. Class representatives. A short meeting for the upcoming festival." Mikasa replied.
Professor Hange called out both the class representatives. She met eye contact with Mina, the female class representative, and familiar green orbs.
She furrowed her eyebrows. "Eren Jaeger? Class representative?" She asked herself. A light chuckle was heard beside her, she turned around to find Eren smiling.
"Surprised, Ackerman?" He asked smugly. Mikasa rolled her eyes and began to walk.
As soon as Mikasa finished her speech about the rules and regulations about the festival, she dismissed the students. She flopped down on her swivel chair and sighed.
"You okay, Mikasa?" Armin asked, looking at his friend with a worried gaze.
Mikasa just nodded and offered Armin a smile. "Yeah. I'm okay."
"I can supervise detention today," Armin sad softly. "Y0u're really pale Mikasa."
"I'm fine Armin. A little bit tired, that's all." She replied. Armin didn't buy it obviously, it was more of convincing herself than convincing her friend.
"Let's just hope that no one has detention today." Petra commented as she walked by. She then massaged Mikasa's head, to which the girl sighed in content.
"That's impossible," Annie butted in, speaking from her usual table, head hung low as she continued signing the papers for approval. "There's that kid from the lower grade. What's his name? Ernest?"
"It's Eren actually." Mikasa replied. Just thinking about the boy alone gives her headaches, what more if she sees him again in the flesh; looking all smug with his usual smile.
Lunch time just started. Eren walked by the hallways calmly as his friend Jean talks nonsense about a game he played last night that kept him up.
"Now I have detention thanks to that game." Jean groaned. He crossed his arms in frustration, "It was worth it though. I'm like 5 levels ahead from Marco."
Eren just listened, not giving a damn about a game Jean was talking about. Nothing in this school caught his attention, it was just a simple high school. Of course things changed, and now, he's looking at the familiar black haired lady standing in line.
"We should play it next time, maybe I could beat yo— Hey!" Jean's offer was soon stopped as soon as Eren walked away. He scoffed before laughing to himself as he saw his friend making his way towards the president of the student council.
"Simp."
Eren casually stood beside Mikasa, waiting in line. Hands on his pockets, he turned towards her with that familiar glint in his eyes.
Mikasa took notice of the boy the second he stood by her. She fought the urge to groan out loud at his mere presence. Even herself doesn't know the reason why she's so agitated just by seeing him.
"What do you want?" Mikasa asked through greeted teeth. The thought she had of Eren last week was long gone. It could be stress, it could be the fact that she's on her period, or maybe Eren is just too good-looking to the point Mikasa is annoyed by it.
