A week had passed since the festival. Although their regular classes are back and it had been hectic as ever, Mikasa felt relieved at the sudden breathe of fresh air. It was like a lump in her throat had been removed and she could feel herself gain more confidence.
Of course the prim and proper image will never falter, as she is still the SC president that most students look up to. Despite the nonstop whispers and allegations towards her and Eren after they walked out of the ferris wheel cabin, she paid no attention to it.
Truthfully speaking, it was hard to shake those thoughts off, she was so used to meeting people's expectations that it was tempting to listen to them and think about their opinions towards her.
"You look troubled," Eren spoke up, looking at her with a worried expression.
The two of them decided to eat their lunch outside where the field is in their view.
"I'm fine." She replied.
Eren gave her a disappointed look. "I know it's hard not to listen, but don't pay attention to them. You'll get used to it eventually."
Mikasa nodded. She flashed a small smile, looking at him with such gratitude, eyes speaking as if she's thanking him for being so understanding of her situation. Ironic how someone younger than her is giving her advices.
"We have a friendly match against the school from the other block. You should watch." Eren suggested.
"What time?"
Eren looked at her, surprised at how easy-going she is today. In other days, she would refuse the offer and tell him she has important things to do, which is those boring paperworks.
"For real? You'll watch?" He asked.
Mikasa shrugged, "Why not? I'll bring Annie and Armin with me."
Eren clapped and smiled, "Great! 3:30 in the afternoon."
Mikasa nodded. "We'll be there."
It was a good thing to arrive early since most of the spaces in the bleachers were taken by students. Mikasa saw some familiar faces and headed towards them.
Sasha halted, eyes widening as she saw the SC officers walking towards them. They seem harmless, but the power they hold in school is intimidating enough to stop Sasha from eating her potato chips.
"Don't tell me the both of you are in trouble." She whispered to Jean and Connie, both boys just looked at her.
"The heck are you saying? You've been with us the whole day." Connie replied, taking a handful of potato chips from Sasha.
Sasha rolled her eyes, "Then why are the SC officers coming this way?"
Jean and Connie whipped their heads behind Sasha. Mikasa, Annie and Armin greeted them with a smile before taking a seat beside them. It was a first to them, even the others are looking towards their direction.
"Is the game starting?" Mikasa asked. Sasha pointed towards herself, questioning if she's the one Mikasa is talking to.
"Not yet. They're about to introduce the players though." She replied.
Mikasa saw the way Sasha is tensing up, she giggled and faced the girl. "Don't worry about us. We're just here to watch."
"You cheering for Eren miss president?" Connie asked playfully. Sasha fought the urge to smack her bestfriend right there.
