Surprise

I kiss Eric on the cheek stealing a piece of toast "Bye baby." he grins "Have a good day love." I nod pulling on my leather jacket "You too, you have a meeting with the other faction leaders don't you?" he nods "I'm really looking forward to it." I laugh at the tone of his voice kissing him gently "I love you." he chases my lips with his "I love you to." I leave walking hastily to the tattoo parlor "Morning Tori." she looks up from her sketchbook grinning "Hey Y/N, how are you?"

Sitting opposite her I sigh "Alright I suppose, although I've been feeling a little queasy but I'm sure its nothing. How about you?"she shrugs "Good as can be." she puts down her sketchbook staring me in the eyes "Are you sure your feeling alright?" I nod trying to avoid her gaze "Positive." she stands shaking her head "Not buying it. Come on, I'm taking you to the hospital." I stay sitting "Tori I assure you I'm fine." she holds out her hand "Your unnaturally pale, bags under your eyes and there's something that just not right."

Rolling my eyes I take her hand letting her pull me up "Fine, but nothing is wrong." she locks the door and drags me to the hospital where a nurse covered in tattoos bustles over "What seems to be the problem?" I sigh "I have no idea apparently I don't look quite right." she nods running her eyes over me "Well we'll just do a quick checkup then." she pulls over a screen and runs several tests while I sit there feeling foolish.  The nurse finally pulls away grinning "Congratulations Mrs Coulter, I expect I'll be seeing you in nine months or so."

My eyes widen and she pats my hand "Please come back in about a month for another check up." I manage to nod and Tori grips my hand "Congratulations." I nod again not sure what else to do "You look like you've gone into shock." I manage to smile standing "Just surprised. I'm going to have a baby. Parent. I'm going to be a mother." she laughs "Come on lets get you a strong cup of tea." we walk back to the tattoo parlor and I finally come to my senses beaming "I'm going to be a mother." she laughs handing me a cup "Finally hit you has it?" I hug her tightly before falling back into my chair "Oh, how am I going to tell Eric? We haven't even talked about kids or family." 

She takes my hand squeezing it tightly "Your going to be fine, you have me, your brother, B/F/N. You're not alone in this. But you do have to tell him." I nod sipping at my tea "I know." finishing my tea she takes the cup "Go, we're quite at the moment." I stand wringing my hands "Right just need to tell Eric I'm pregnant." she chuckles "Good luck." 

Slowly I make my way back to our apartment running over different scenarios in my mind. "Your home early. Everything alright love? Y/N? What happened? Did anyone hurt you?" I smile faintly "No one hurt me. Everything is fine, I erm have something to tell you." I take his hand in mine leading him over to the sofa "Just promise me you will stay calm." his brow furrows slightly "What do you mean?"

"Please just promise." he nods "Alright, I promise." I take a deep breath staring at our hands "I'm pregnant." I feel Eric freeze up and look up waiting a moment "Eric?" nothing "Eric please say something, anything." 

"You're pregnant? Pregnant? As in your going to have a baby." I chuckle "Yes." He brings a hand up cupping my face "We're going to be parents. I'm going to be a father." I nod placing my hand on top of his "Yes and you will make a wonderful father." he chuckles leaning forward brushing his lips against mine "How long have you known?"

"Maybe an hour, it was a bit of a surprise." he chuckles "A wonderful surprise. Who else knows?" I smile "Just Tori, she took me to the hospital apparently I didn't look right." wrapping an arm around my waist he pulls me into his lap leaning his forehead against mine "I love you and I will love our little one so much. I know I can be difficult but I promise I will be a good father as I promised to be a good husband."
