⸻ CHEERS ERUPTED AT THE LAST SHOT THE TWO TEENAGE BOYS MADE IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL STADIUM, the victory point being scored and the young boys cheering out as they all hugged each other out of glory and pride.

takeru and taru were cheering themselves on, fists in the air as they ran up to the bleachers to hug their parents, where [name] clapped and handed them a container of watermelon.

"i am so proud of you boys!" she sniffled, wiping her tears and hugging both teens happily, "i have never been so happier that i left for holiday early."

the boys laughed, grabbing their snacks as well as the container and running over to their teammates happily as the group of young boys whooped and jumped up in down out of joy. their happiness was loud and it made the families on the bleachers prouder than ever, especially the [last name] and oikawa family.

suddenly tadame had gasped, jumping from the bleachers and running off from [name] who had turned in confusion at the sudden impact. her eyes trailed tadame, watching as she ran towards the entrance to a taller figure that [name] could barely recognize from afar.

she stood up slowly, inching off the bleachers to get a better look. that was when her heart had stopped beating. the almond hair combed to the side, the glasses, the formal attire she had never seen before— it was him.

her breath was caught in her throat watching as tadame turned around, finger pointing directly at [name] and waved her over happily whilst jumping up and down before yelling for both takeru and [name] to go over to her.

the [hair color] haired woman stared, before looking away to pretend she hadn't seen and was looking elsewhere and awkwardly walked away to taru's team on the other side of the stadium away from the exit. her heart was pounding, breathing heavy as she tried her best not to rush over to the team and to be as normal as possible.

"thanks [name] for the watermelon, everyone loved it," taru spoke once his sister had got over, looking at her with furrowed brows as he examined her face. he let out a hum, close to asking what's wrong before he caught sight of a figure walking behind her, "wait is that—"

"[name]?"

she slowly turned, head tilting upwards and [eye color] eyes widening. "oikawa tooru… long time," she spoke up awkwardly, quickly clearing her throat and tapping at her chest.

"yeah it has been long huh?" he laughed, making [name] cough out. oikawa smiled, looking over at taru who was also uncomfortable to be in the presence of now oikawa tooru: the famous volleyball player. the volleyball player who now traveled around the world to play professionally and had taken time off to come to a silly middle school volleyball championship for his nephew.

"oh!" oikawa laughed once again, interrupting the silence, "tadame said that we're going out to eat, would you guy's like to tag along?"

[name] blinked, unsure of how to respond. her mouth opened softly to refuse, definitely not ready to be put in such an awkward position. "n—"

"yeah! i'm starving!"
