Chapter 49

"Professor believe me it's me !"
" Who are you kid ? Have you lost your parents?"
" It's me professor! I'm Jimmy!"
" Jimmy? You can't be Ji-"
" Who is Jimmy?"
" Aahh!!"
" Jeez Shina ! Stop yelling!" Shinchi nagged.
" Oh my god . My heart stopped for a min!"
" Don't make it such a big deal."
" A big deal? Don't you know how to knock?"
" I knocked. "
" No you didn't."
" Yes I did . But you didn't hear me ."
" I would've had heard you if you had knocked. "
" And I did knocked. "
" Ughhhh! Forget it!"
" Did it. So who is Jimmy?"
" A character."
" From the book that you are reading?"
" No from the book that I read 2 years ago. "
" Really?"
" No you idiot! It's from this book."
" What is the book called?"
" Ummm, Case Closed?"
" What is it about?"
" I-it talks umm, for a little boy, that um, that has  opened a little detective office with his friends and solve small cases."
" Sound boring to me."
Just wait 7 years and we will see what is boring.
" Anyway  mom said that you should get ready, cause we are going to the mall and then meet up with Uncle and Auntie. "
" Okay you can go now . This is a girl room."
" Sure , sure."

" Hey Shinchi close the door!"
" Of course. " he says while walking out of the room and leaving the door open.
" You didn't close the door! You never close my door! Why? You found the door closed so why don't you close it?!"
" I can't hear you I'm too far away!"
" Stupid!" Shina yells while getting up of her bed and locking the door.

" Whew! That was close, he almost find out. I did the smart thing choosing the English version of Detective Conan,  it even has Shinchi replaced with Jimmy. But I should hide it . Anyways,  let's get ready." Shina says while opening her closet and checking the clothes.
" What to wear ? These are to many clothes. Many something that I haven't wear in a while." Then her eyes caught a light pink dress.
" This looks cute. If I am not mistaken Uncle bought me this for my 9th birthday.  Well since I am meeting him why not wearing it." Shina tries it and look at her figure in the mirror.
" It fits great.  Uncle has taste."

" Shina are you ready?" Yukiko asks from downstairs.
" Coming mom!"
Shina walks out of her and walks through the hallway.
" Uh? Shinchi what are still doing here? We should be downstairs. "
" I'm choosing a book for the road . I will be down in a min."
" Suit yourself. "
She says while going down the stairs.
I wonder what present uncle has for us. He said that he would show us today.

Her thoughts get caught by a call that Yusaku answered.

" Yes ? Hello. Oh Chikage -san! We are leav-! WHAT?!"
" Uh? What's wrong honey?" Yukiko asks her husband .
" T-toichi had a car accident?!" He yells at the phone.
" WHAT!?" Yukiko yells.
" CHIKAGE - SAN HOW IS HE?! CHIKAGE ANSWER ME DAMMIT!? CHIKAGE-"
"*sob* t-toichi i-is d-ead,,," the woman from the other line cries.
" dead,, DEAD?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE IS DEAD!? "
" OH NO!" Yukiko say with tears in her eyes.
" Oi Shina why  are you standing in th middle of the stairs ? "
" D-Dead?" Shina said with her eyes wide open.
" What dead ? Who is dead ? " Shinchi asks.
"CHIKAGE TELL WICH HOSPITAL ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?! THE CENTRAL ONE ?"
" Hospital? What is happening? Shina-"
" Oi Onee-cham! Where are going?"
" Huh?!" Both parents turn to see.
" Onee chan! Why are you running? You still have your slippers on?!"
Shina slams the door as she ran as fast as she can.
" Shina!" A yell can be heard from the house. But Shina stills runs.

Dead? He can't be dead ! Cause I changed the story! I saved uncle! He should be alive ! Yes he is! He's just in hospital! Yeah! I saved him! I saved him,,
Shina runs as she looks hopelessly at the road and then stopping at kiosk and start looking around , trying to find something that can lead her to hospital while trying to catch her breath.
" Hey lady! Please tell the quickest way to the Central hospital! Is an emergency!"
" Central hospital? Umm, I think you should make a turn to that alley and then walk straight and take a left turn and then walk until you see-"
Shina then runs as fast as she can again.
" Hey ! Be careful! The alley is dangerous!"
Uncle,,, Uncle.  Uncle! She says in her mind while running through a dark alley,  but then accidentally steps into a small pond and then slips into the wet , diryu , road . She tries to get up, but her tears start falling like a river.
" He is alive ! He must be alive! He promised me ! * Huff* Uncle!!!"
She gets up and see that both her knees and elbows has been hurt and has started bleeding , she throws her  wet slippers , being barefoot now,hissing from the pain she continues running to the hospital.

" Yusaku I can't see her anywhere!" Yukiko says worried as she search with her eyes for her daughter.
" We will find her ."
Yusaku assure her as he stops the car to ask somebody for Shina.
" Excuse me sir ! Have you seen a little girl with a pink dress?"
" A little girl? No I don't beli-"
" I have . She asked for directions to the Central." A lady said.
" She is going tobthe hospital?!" Yukiko asked in fear.
" And so are we !" Yusaku says as he speeds the car while Shichi in the back is trying his best to hold the tears.

Shina just took the left turn and then she saw the hospital.  She sprinted through the crowd and cars not worrying about the insults or the yellings.
She run through the gate of the hospital , not catching a breath as she almost slipped again while reaching for the receptionist.
" P-PLEASE * HUFF* *HUFF* T-TELL ME * HUFF* WHERE KUROBA TOICHI IS * HUFF*!"
" He is in rom 27 in the second floor, but little girl are you okay? You are bleeding so bad!"
Shina runs through the hallway while receptionist yells for her to come back.
" Uncle!"
" Uncle!"
" Uncle!"
" Unc-!"
She stops when she see a familiar kid sitting in one the hallways chair next to the room with the number 27 .
" Kaito?"
She approaches him slowly until she standing right in front of him . But the boy doesn't raise his head.
" Kaito? Kaito? Where is uncle ?"
But he doesn't answer.  Then she see that the boy is holding something.  It has a note in it. " for my little magician boy" .
It's the present Uncle said the other day. That means-
" Kaito ! ANSWER ME GOD DAMMIT! HOW IS UNCLE!?" She says while grasping his shoulder and forcing him to answer . The boy slowly raise his head . Tears falling from his dead eyes.
" No,, No!" She says as she realizes the boy from her gripe and slowly opening the door of the room 27.
Her eyes widening as she see her Auntie crying in a chair in the corner while in the bed there is body covered with a white sheet from head to toe.  She looks around as she see two present in a croner with a note
" For my little Detective Shinchi "
" For my little Hero Shina"
Still shocked ,tears fall from her eyes again .
Chikage finally noticing the little girl.  Gasps  as she see her condition.  Messy dirty hair , scar and some dirt over her face , a ripped dress wich is covered not only with mud but also with blood that is running from her elbows and knees.  And her feet wich are cut.
" Shina what-!"
" Uncle? What are you doing? Why are you standing there ? Come on wake up. I'm here . We said that we would go out today. I wore the dress that you bought me .See?" She says while getting closer to the bed. " Uncle  is this a trick? End it . It's not funny more. Uncle? Uncle! UNCEL I'M NOT LAUGHING WAKE UP! PLEASE WAKE UP! YOU PROMISED TO ME AND KAITO  THAT YOU WOULD LEARN US EVERY TRICKS THAT YOU KNEW! UNCLE WAKE UP PLEASE ! PLEASE! Please! Please,,," She yelles as she falls on  her knees while crying like a river .
While Chikage cover her mouth with her hand trying to stop crying but help you instead.
In that moment Yusaku opens the door as she see you crying next to the bed of his dead best friend. He freeze.
