"You must be Yuna; I'm Minho, nice to meet you," he says nonchalantly.
"Nice to meet you too, how do you know my—"
"Hyunjin talks about you all the time, I just figured," he smirks. He notices that my eyes never leave the gun in his hand.
"Oh this? Don't freak out, it's not loaded or anything."
His audacity leaves me dumbfounded, to which he sighs.
"I'm a police officer," he says in a 'duh' type of tone. He pulls out an ID badge that shows his picture and occupation. It looks real, I think to myself. But it has to be fake, right?
"You're lucky I didn't bring my handcuffs home," he winks.
"ALRIGHTY that's enough Minho, I think it's time for Yuna to go home," Hyunjin says while leading me to the door.
I grab my bag on the way out. "But we didn't finish-"
"That's okay, I'll send you something to copy," Hyunjin smiles as he closes the door, leaving me outside. That was weird.
Hyunjin POV
I wait before looking through the peephole to make sure no one is standing there. That's when I give Minho a glare.
"What the fuck was that?"
"I should be asking you that, you dumbass!" Minho flings his arms in the air. "Why on earth is your target in our living room?!"
"That's none of your business, you shouldn't walk around so aimlessly, flailing weapons around left and right!"
"Well it's not my fault that I didn't know she'd be here!"
I close my eyes, inhaling deeply. "Whatever. I'm just glad you had that ID on you. I guess Jungkook's idea wasn't stupid after all."
"Well I'm just surprised you let her through the door, you know, considering she almost whooped your ass not too long ago," he smirks, causing me to roll my eyes.
"I'm still doing my job."
"Are you? I wouldn't consider Mario Kart and poor attempts at flirting to be doing your job."
"I'm not flirting-"
"Cut the bullshit Hyunjin," Minho turns a bit serious. "Everyone can see your lack of progress ever since she appeared on the radar. I know that Jungkook trusts you because you're our top spy, but you just... haven't been yourself lately. I'm only telling you this because I care about you." I nod silently. He's right, I shouldn't let my guard down. Especially at a time like this.
I can't let history repeat itself.
Yuna POV
"Thanks for coming with me Yuna," Jisung says with his cheeky smile. It's a warm autumn night as we walk from the train station through a rather rich looking neighborhood, the grand houses overlooking the Han river. Kevin is hosting a college party to celebrate the end of midterms. I decided to wear ripped jeans, a crop top and platform converse. The rich houses seem to get bigger the more we walk, music from the distance slowly growing. As we turn the corner, my jaw drops at the size of the house. It has 3 stories and a huge front balcony that overlooks a fountain in the center. We walk through the stone path up to the tall front door and ring the doorbell. Kevin swings the door open as muffled music from the inside turns loud and clear.
"Hey you two! Come in," he says, ushering us inside.
The giant interior is full of people, some holding drinks while others are dancing along with the music. There are a couple groups here and they're playing party games. I'm not used to large gatherings of people my age, so this new territory is a little intimidating.
"Snacks and drinks are in the kitchen, bathrooms are by the stairs, and there's a pool in the back. Help yourselves!" Kevin says excitedly. I politely thank him before he leaves to greet others.
