"Now, you know they aren't going to trust you, brother. Please just keep your mouth shut for once" My oaf of a brother tells me as we walk into the Stark tower elevator, getting nervous looks from everyone we pass.
"Hmm, we'll see" I tell him as the doors shut. He gives me a look, raising his eyebrow as if to say "really?"
"Are these really necessary?" I sigh, gesturing to my handcuffs and power suppressing collar.
"I'll take off the cuffs, but you know the collar must remain. It's just until they're comfortable with you" he tells me, giving me a slightly too hard pat on the back. I know I've done bad things in the past, but why can't they understand I was being controlled? It pained me to be so evil. Sure, I'm the god of mischief, but mischief and evil are two very different things.
The guilt I feel is constant, the feeling in my stomach never leaves. It will have times it subsides slightly, but I've accepted it will never fully leave.

The doors ding open, and I'm soon met with the whole team with a mix of disgust, shock, worry and anger on their faces. This is going to be fun...
Hang on, there's somebody I've never seen before. Thor didn't tell me there was a new recruit, apart from me of course.
A flash of deep blue hair sitting above the headrest. Her back is to me, but she slowly turns her head to see me. Oh my gods, she's beautiful. Those eyes are enchanting, and so unusual. The brightest, lightest blue I've ever seen, almost white. I didn't think humans could look like that, she almost looks...alien.
They widen at the sight of me, but I can't read her reaction properly. Her pink lips part slightly, almost like she's breathless. Shock, surely?

"Surprise" I say out loud, trying and failing to ease the tension I sense.
"You can't be serious! This guy's a lunatic!" Clint yells looking back up to Nick, who's standing opposite to us.
Suddenly, everyone joins in the yelling as Thor uncuffs my hands and walks me over to the other side of the room. As we walk, I look over to the mystery girl, to see she's the only one not yelling. In fact, she isn't even speaking, simply staring at me, boring those bright eyes right into me. I flash a smirk at her, and she quickly looks away. How cute.

"Everyone, I know this isn't ideal, but I promise you Loki has shown change. He is not the man he was before" Thor states, his voice as smug as he was.
"He's shown change? What did he save a puppy?" If there's one thing Tony always excelled at, it was comebacks.
"If I may explain myself-" I start, not able to keep myself quiet. "Zip it, Reindeer!" Tony retorts. That's definitely my least favourite of his nicknames.

"Listen to me! Loki will now be living here, while this collar restricts all his powers he might as well be human. and you will all take it in turns to monitor him until we know we can trust him, and he will not leave the building until we do so. Am I clear?" Nick shouts, frustration building in his face.
The whole table again erupted into arguments.

I look dead ahead and my eyes meet with hers. They are enchanting, they bore straight into my soul. I feel like I could lose myself in them.
Gods, Loki, what's wrong with you? How can you be attracted to a Midgardian? What are they compared to Asgardians?
"It's just been a while since I saw somebody so attractive" I tell myself, trying to reason the feelings rising in my stomach.

"Agent Thomson" Nick says calmly, though I could tell in his face he was anything but, clearly frustrated with his team. "Will you please show Loki to his quarters, since you're the only one acting sensible here" So, there's a last name for her at least. Thomson. Sounds like a normal earth name.
She lets out a small sigh and stands up from her chair.
"Wow" I think to myself as she stands, taller then me, even taller then Thor. It wasn't often to find someone who could tower above us.

"He's in living quarters F" Nick tells her as she walks past him, she glances up at me and gives me a small nod as if to say "follow" and so I did.
"And Agent! You're first to keep watch on him, you'll have to stay with him for now" He calls after us. She instantly lets out a louder sigh, clearly not happy with her assignment. "This may take some doing" I think to myself, setting myself the new task of getting to know this mystery woman. Time to turn on the Loki charm.

"Hello, darling" I smirked at her as she passed me, but her face was unmoving. I can't blame her, gods know what she's been told about me from these avengers. "This way" she mumbled walking towards the door, turning her head to make sure I was following. Oh, I'm definitely following you, sweetheart. "I don't believe we've met before, I'm Loki" I say as we start walking down the hallway together. "I know" She states back. Ouch, cold. But I like the cold.

"Do you have a first name, Agent Thomson?" I ask, trying my best to sound cool, even though being near her made me nervous in a way I was not used to.
"Yin." She states blankly. Yin? I don't believe I've met a human with that name before, how odd. Normally they all seem to have the same few names recycled again and again.
"That's a beautiful name, nice to meet you, Yin." I say with a smile as she glances up at me, though her face stays stoic. I've never been one to chase, after all, I am a prince. I'd have men and women throwing themselves at me, I could always have my pick back on Asgard. Of course, that's not really an option anymore, and with everything that's happened these past few years, romance has not been high on my list of priorities.

I'm sure that's all these feelings are, my body telling me its been too long since I've held someone in my arms. And it just so happened to be this Yin, since she's the most unique, and quite frankly, most beautiful woman I've seen in a long time.
We soon stop at a door, and Yin grabs her ID from her pocket to access the inside. "So, what're your superpowers then? To get on this cute little team" I smirk, trying my hand at some light flirting.

But she isn't playing, ignoring me and silently opening the door.
I follow her inside, and she shuts the door behind me. I hear the click of the lock behind me. "Are you always going to be this dull?" I ask, getting slightly frustrated.
Suddenly, she grabs my wrist and slams me against the living room wall, pushing all the air out of me. Her hand is against my throat. Well, this could go two very different ways right now...

"Listen, I have no intention of spending more time with you then I need to, just because your brother trusts you doesn't mean I do. I'm here to stop you leaving, other then that, I don't give a shit about you" Spits Yin, the anger visible in her pale eyes. Her words cut me, the guilt in my stomach rearing it's ugly head. But at the same time, the way I can feel my own heartbeat in my neck as she squeezes is giving me a very different feeling in my stomach also..

I flash a grin at her, grabbing her hand with mine, spinning her around and pushing her into the same spot in the wall she just held me. My hand is now on her neck, but I don't apply the same pressure she did, just placing it there gently. I am trying to flirt after all.
My leg in between hers, we're almost touching. I can feel her shaky breath on my face as I bring it slightly closer, our noses almost touching.

"You're a feisty one, aren't you" I mutter, barely louder then a whisper. Both of us seem to forget how to breathe for a second, just staring into each others eyes.
"like it or not, we're partners now" I finally break the silence, expecting a snarky response. Instead, she's silent as a faint blue glow catches my eye.

I look down to see her arms transforming from their normal human colour to a deep blue, her hands glowing. How odd, that almost looks... familiar.
"I'd let go if I were you" She tells me firmly, a small smirk on her face. I immediately let go of her neck, taking a couple steps backwards, but still staying close. Her fists turn a bright white as she balls them up, looking ready to strike.
"well, that's a lovely trick" I stutter, unsure of what else to say as I stare at her.

"Trust me, you don't want to see my other tricks"
Oh, you're wrong there, darling.
She relaxes her fists, breathing deeply, and her skin returns to normal.
"Wait here, I'll be back" she tells me firmly, turning and walking out the door with not so much as a look.
