1 what inspired the idea of your story?

I was mainly inspired by the original author for the Wing of Fire series Tui. Southernland, I've always wanted a character who would sometimes feel like the villain, so the two of those helped to inspire me to write this story.

2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?

pacing. I struggled with giving characters the time they need to develop and to prepare them for the plot of the story.

3 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?

I generally enjoyed writing scenes between two of the main characters, Scorpion and Rattlesnake, as well as fighting scenes.

4 what's the overall response of your story from your readers?

Generally the overall responses are positive from my readers, some of them ask questions and talk amongst one another with theories about my stories.

5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series ?

My story is a piece of a series, there are currently four books, the forth one in the works. This book is the first within the series!

6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?

What I generally want my readers to take away from my story is to not let their emotions take control over some of their actions, to be more openminded towards others.

7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?

I generally tell other writers who need it is to listen to music, it can help with the tone of writing and it generally helps me get into the right headspace for certain scenes.

8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?

She does share quite a bit with me, I tend to overthink and let my emotions make me decisions for me, much like Scorpion does. I can also be hot tempered, similar to my main character.

9 what is something about your story you believe would draw in new readers?

I like to think that the action within the story and the tension could draw in new readers.

10 do you have any future projects?

I do! My series will have a total of ten books, but after that I plan on tackling other series or I might work on a trilogy idea I've had in my mind for a while now, one I hope to publish one day.
