New begining

I arrive a little after 6 to my uncles house. As it was still light out so it should make Anne happy. I sit in my car as I text Anne letting her know I arrived safely, then all my friends as a group text saying I miss them tons and I arrived. I Put my phone back in my purse and get out of the car stretching my arms and legs from driving 5 hours. I grab my purse and keys and make way up to the front door. I'll just get my bags later. I'm so tired and exhausted and emotionally drain I just want to sleep my life away.

I knock on the door and I see it open and showing a smiling Uncle Bobby. "Alyssa you've made it" he says with his hands open as he embraces me into a hug. Last time I saw either him, niall, or Greg other than my moms funeral, and it just happen to be Greg and Bobby, niall had testing he couldn't miss, was about a year ago for Christmas. "Come on in darling. And how was your drive" he asks. "Alright, long, boring" I shrug. "Well come on in and make yourself at home. Can I get you anything to eat, drink. Dinner should be ready with in the hour." He says. I make way to his couch and sit down. "No I'm fine thank you" I smile. "Niall should be here anytime. He can't wait to see you" I give him a small smile and go back to my phone and the texts I received. "I'm just going to finish up dinner" I look up to him and nod. He leaves the room.

Niall and I were best of cousins. We're the same age, same grade, so it made sense that we were close. We have drifted apart throughout our teenage years. Barley seeing each other, not wanting to spend weeks on end at each other places because we wouldn't see our friends. Friends became more important to us. But when we saw each other on holidays we left off where we were.

I hear the front door close and niall coming running into the family room I was sitting at "Alyssa" I yells. "Niall" I mock his tone I stand up and he hugs me picking me up swinging me around. "I've missed you" he says "you too blonde" messing with his hair. Last time I saw him he had brown hair, blonde suits him well. "Look at my ugly duckling turning into a swan princess" he jokes. I glare. "Look at the little leprechaun straightening his teeth and dying his hair" I joke back. No matter what Niall and I say we never take each other seriously, that's just our relationship. "You're a leprechaun too Alys" I shake my head. "Nope not 100 percent" he glares. "Screw you" we both burst into a fit of laughter.

Niall and I talked most the time before dinner. About life and school, keeping me updated on everything that's going on in his school. "Let's take a picture so I can post on Instagram" I lasted. He shrugs getting closer and I snap it. As I upload it with the caption. Reunited and it feels good.

"I can't wait to you meet my girlfriend Kate." He beams. I didn't know he had a girlfriend. "Awe can't wait how long have you two been dating." I asked. "6 months. She's great" he lights up when he talks about her. "How are you and what's his name" he asks. "Luke" I replied. "Yeah Luke" he asks. He has met Luke once or twice he really never said if he liked him or not. "We um broke up" I say. "What oh Alys I'm so sorry" he says giving me a sympathetic smile. "Don't be it was my choice. I don't want to hold him from anything. Plus it was going to happen before we left for college." I say trying to hide my tears. Yeah I admit it still hurts. He was my first true love and we broke up cause I moved. He comes over to me and hugs me giving his special hugs. I love his hugs.

"Dinners done you two" uncle Bobby says and I wipe my tears and walk into the dining area. We sat down and started eating. I wasn't really hungry, haven't been for a while but I force myself to eat. "So Alyssa" uncle Bobby says and I look up. "You can take Gregs old room." "Where's Greg" I asked. He iS about 5 years old then niall and I. "He's got his own place with his steady girlfriend Denise." I nod. "That's awesome."

"There's a few rules I have in my house and everyone abides by them, right Niall" niall shakes his head. "One on school nights curfew is midnight." That's not bad. "Two Sunday's are family dinner night, as you can see, so you must be home before seven or your grounded the next week." I nod, easy. "I don't care if you stay over friends just call or shoot me a quick text stating that your not coming home" easy.

"And lastly I work late in Tuesday's and all night on Satuedays, that means no parties." He smiles and niall laughs. "Ok got it. Home by midnight, Sunday dinner, no parties, call when not coming home, easy." And Uncle Bobby smiles. "Good" he mumbles.

"And then Tommrow" uncle bobby continues. "we'll stop at Westwood High and get everything to transfer and sign you up there." I nod, playing around with my noodles. "So once everything settled you can hopefully start by end of the week or beginning of next week." "Yeah" I muttered. "I can't wait my fave cousin in the same school" niall beams. I look at him and smile, fake smile. I excuse myself and put my dish away and head upstairs. I can faintly hear my uncle telling Niall to let me alone for a while. I'll want to go back home to my friends and my mom. But wait one thing. I don't have a mom anymore and I live here now. My new beginning.
