Admissions

Monday morning bright and early and we're heading to school that I'm not even enrolled in yet. Uncle Bobby had to be at work at 10 so he wanted to get there when the school opens so we can get everything ready.

I put on blue jeans and a soft three quarter inch white shirt with a pair of flats. I curl my hair and put natural makeup on and head down stairs. "Buy cuz I'm late" niall tells and hurries out the door. "Bye" I yell back. "Ready" uncle bobby asks and I nod grabbing my purse, sunglasses, and heading out the door with him.
We arrive at the school and it's much bigger than the one i attended back home. We walk up to the front office that's says Admissions and head inside.

"Good morning Mr. Horan what brings you in today, Niall late" she asks. "no Melanie, I'm here to enroll my niece, Alyssa Walsh, into Westwood, year 11." "Oh good, hello" she turns to me. "Hello" I smile. She turns back to my uncle. "I remember we talked weeks ago, do you have all the forms" she asks. "No, because I didn't know when she was coming down so you told me to wait and fill out once she's here" "oh that's right, please hold on a moment while I grab them for you two" and she goes into another room.

"Relax Alyssa everything will be alright." I nod. "Plus you have Niall as your cousin, he's going to let nothing happen to you." I smile. Yeah that was the only plus.

She comes back. "Here you go Mr. Horan. And hands him forms. "Now do you have custody of her." She asks. "Temporary right now til next month when we head down for full and her mothers will." She nods. "And" she says looking back at the paper Uncle Bobby gave her. "Alyssa." I nod, smile, and say "yes" "Do you have any papers for your classes to transfer." I nod and hand her an envelope.

"Thank you. You can have a seat next to your uncle and we'll call you up to talk when he's finish." I nod and walk over to him and sit down fiddling with my fingers.
He stands up and gives Melanie the papers she says something to him and he sits down next to him.

"Alright miss Walsh and Mr. Horan, Mr. Cata would like to see you." And she opens the door to the principals office. "Oh hello Mr. Horan, how are you? Big game on Friday huh?" He asks him. "Oh yes. NIALLs all ready." He smiles. "He ones of the best. So you're here to enroll your niece Alyssa Walsh correct." And he nods. "Well hello Alyssa, I'm Mr. Cata, school principal." "Hello" I smile. He looks over the paper work and his eyes goes wides and then normal and wide again.

"Alyssa I see your a straight A student, captain of the cheerleading squad, and take Honors English and Math." I nod. "Correct" I say. "Well here at Westwood are academics are a little different then Kemper." And I give him a confused look. "We have a higher grading scale, so before we start to put you into classes I'd like to test you to see if you should go straight to Honors English and Math or regular for a year to get used to how we work." I nod a little upset that he didn't feel like I'm an honors student. "I'd like to do that tommrow if possible then we'll have the grades by Wednesday and I'll have you come in to pick out your classes with a guidance council. Thursday you can come in around two and pick up needed books and I'll have someone show you around the school. And you can start Monday. Friday we have a big futball game and it's laid back Friday." I nod. "So let's make 11am tommrow for testing. Come to front office and Melanie will show you to where to go." He says. "Sounds good" uncle Bobby says. "And then we'll talk after." "Okay" I say.
"And I'll I need from you Mr. Horan when you have full custody I'll need that paper for her file." He says looking at his direction. "Will do." "Alright Alyssa I'll see you tommrow." I nod and we both thank him and say bye.

"That wasn't too bad was it." Uncle Bobby says while driving home. "No. But I'm upset I have to take tests to get into honors." The truth is, it's been bugging me since he said it. "I know but you'll do fine." But the thing that comes in my mind is what if I don't. And I end up in regular math and English. No good Univeristy is going to take me.

All week long I've been in and out of that school for test and registration. I have passed the honors test and will put me into honors math and English which I'm happy about. It's Thursday and I'm meeting a girl in my year named Lily to take me around school and show me where my classes are and stuff. I don't know why they just don't let me figure it out on my own. Or have niall show me.

"Here's your locker. Locker 105." I smile at her. And open my locker putting my books into it. "Alright let's start with your first class and run through your schedule." I nod. We walk up stairs to the second level. "202 is your honors English with Mr. Mack." She says pointing to the empty class room. Then she says "you're next class is biology in room 215 and it's just down that hall" pointing down the right. I nod. "The next is PE which is back down on the first floor." We walk back down and she shows me where the girls locker room is and the gym. "I think Niall is in that class." I give her a look of how does she know. "That's because he's alwYs leaving when I'm going and that's my 4 class of the day." I nod. "Honors math is room 109 which is this way. Mrs. O'Malley is a bitch" and I laugh her glaring at me. "Sorry it's to funny how you said that you seem so sweet and innocent." She rolls her eyes and heads down the hall. "Next is lunch" showing me to the lunch room. "Then you have art which is back by the gym down the hall way of the women's locker room." I nod "you don't have to show me." She nods and continues "and your last period is Humanities. That's on the second floor right by biology. Room 216. Then your done." I nod and smile. Thank god this girl was getting on my nerves. "Any questions." I shake my head no as I hear the bell ring. "Well got to go to my last class nice to meet you Alyssa." "You too" I say out loud but doubt she heard me, and now I'm stuck in the crowded hall way looking like a lost puppy trying to find my way back to the Admissions department.

"Hey love, you're new here, must be NIALLs cousin." A raspy voice behind me says. I turn around and noticed a tall curly hair, green eyes, good looking guy. "Yeah. Lily took me on the tour then just left me" I say. "Well love I'll take you to the office." I blush his accent is so hot. "Thank you." I say. We walk down the hall to another to another till the office. "There you go. See you around hopefully." I nod and look back at him to thank him but I over hear a squeaky voice. "Harry I've been looking for you." A blonde skinny girl comes up wrapping her hands around his neck kissing his lips. Of course he had a girlfriends. But at least I know his name is harry.

"Miss Walsh are you done with the tour." "Yes" "where's Lily." She asks looking around. "She left me when the bell rang." I say still pissed at that. "Oh that's lily for you always first to get to class." She laughs. I roll my eyes. Now I'm a straight A, honors student and I dotn make attempt to get to class first. "Nerd" I mumbled. "Well you're all done for the day, we'll see you on Monday. And welcome to Westwood." I smile and nod "thanks" as I walk out to my car.
I drive away and I can't help but think of my old school and friends. This school is huge and has way more people. And I know no one other than my cousin. Why does this have to happen to me. I pull into my new home and head to my room and lay down closing my eyes as I was emotional drained and tired but a face kept popping up in my head. A curly haired green eyed face.
