Dear First Lover
I remember our relationship like it was yesterday
All the beautiful things you used to say
But also how easily you left my life
And just tossed my heart aside
All the memories we shared
But also the many tears I shed
I thought I could find another you
But that proved to be impossible
You gave me everything I never knew I needed
And promised you'd never leave me
You showed me true happiness
But also caused me unbearable tears
I tried to stay strong
Tried to forget you and move on
Though I might find another
You'll always be my unforgotten lover
I know you'll find someone who'll love you better
Someone to be your forever
Farewell dear lover
May you remain unforgotten
