A cruel night to remember
That cold night in December
The night of her murder
She went about her busy day
Her routine not led astray
Oblivious to her lurking dismay
She returned home and went to bed
Awoke to a soft pillow over her head
A silent plea, she let out her last breath
Her body left in the December breeze
Discarded in the river to freeze
Her soul left to rest in peace
