Shehnaaz's P.O.V.
Back in our room, I was folding some clothes when Sidharth's arms snaked around my waist. A smile came to me as he buried his face in my hair. "I'm sorry," he said. Frowning confused, I asked as I continued with my work, "For what?" "You called me today and I couldn't talk or listen to you," he said. Turning my head to him, I said with a smile and heart overflowing with love, "Sidharth, you are too sweet! I didn't feel bad. In fact, I have already thrown that out of my mind." "Does this mean that it wasn't something too important?" He asked. I shook my head with a smile. His arms around me began to tighten when a knock sounded on the door. "Go and check," I said. "I need to buy a 'Do Not Disturb' sign for our room," he said walking away from me. I shook my head. "Sidharth, if I am not disturbing you, can you come see me in my study?" Dad asked. Sidharth turned back and looked at my amused face as he said, "No problem. Let's go." They left the room and I went to check on Rahul. Going into his room, I looked at him reading on his bed. I went and sat next to him, wrapping my arms around him. "How was school?" I asked. Holding his hand out with fingers spaced, he signaled 'Ok.' "Did you not have fun?" I asked. Again with sign language, he did the same action. He held up his index finger and pushed his hand into his bag. He pulled out a paper and handed it to me. I read as it asked consent for students to participate in extra classes which would happen before and after school hours. Frowning at him, I asked, "Do you want to join?" He nodded with a puppy face. I was in a dilemma. I can't give consent without consulting with Sidharth or Dad first. Cupping his face with a smile, I said, "Give me some time and I will ask your brother, how is that?" He bent his head disappointed. "Rahul, you know how tensed and busy Sidharth remains these few days. It's only for a short period of time," I said. He took back the paper and pushed it back into his bag nodding. Hugging him, I said trying to cheer him up, "Come on! Don't sulk! I will speak to your snobbish brother tomorrow." He smiled and then let out a small giggle. I hugged him and waited for him to fall asleep when I frowned and said in my head, "I lied earlier to Sidharth that nothing was wrong. But did I do the right thing? What if Daksh and my plan don't work out? Only for safety measures I should tell Sidharth about my mistrust in Oscar. But he isn't willing to listen to Daksh he won't listen to me. I will be safe tomorrow. Daksh is with me. Nothing can happen. But I have to find out the truth about Oscar." My eyes began to get heavier and slowly couldn't remain open any longer.
Sidharth's P.O.V.
After my chat with Dad about my meeting tomorrow for our casino, I went back to my room to have some quality time with Shehnaaz but she was absent. Knowing exactly where she is, I went to the room next door and entered. Just as I assumed, she was hugging Rahul and sleeping with him. I smiled and went to her. Caressing Rahul's hair, I looked at Shehnaaz and turned off the lights. Slowly, I removed Rahul's hand from on top her and scooped my sleeping beauty up. I walked back to our room and rested her on the bed with ease. As I was straightening my back, I saw her lips curving into a smile and realised that she was awake. She opened her eyes and looked up at me. Joining her hands around my neck, she said, "At the dining table, earlier in the bedroom and now, you can't keep your hands away from me anymore." I leaned down closer to her and stroked her face with my finger saying, "You are an enchantress." "Why couldn't I sleep with Rahul tonight?" She asked. My hands ran down her neck and held her shoulder as I said, "I am accustomed to you sleeping with me. Without you, I won't fall asleep." She nodded saying, "Impressive. You play with words well." "I am speaking love," I said. She smiled and stared at me. Naturally, I went closer and closer to her. Resting my head on her chest, I hugged her and closed my eyes for yet another blissful night in her arms.
The next morning, I stood in front the mirror without meeting Shehnaaz for the morning yet and got dressed. Just as I was about to wear my watch, two hands stopped me and I smiled. Shehnaaz helped me wear it and took up my wallet. Handing it to me, she followed with my phone and handkerchief. I smiled at her. "Thank you wifey," I said pulling her cheeks. I took my briefcase and was walking out when she held back my hand and frowned. I dropped my briefcase and cupped her face. "What's wrong?" I asked. She held my hand to her heart and asked, "Can I have Daksh for one day?" I frowned. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Sidharth, I have never lied to you. I don't trust Oscar. He's just...I don't know exactly. I don't feel too safe with him alone. I just want assurance that I am safe and I feel safe with Daksh," she said frowning and from her tone I could sense fear, worry and desperation. I pulled her in and hugged her. "Okay. Daksh will remain with you. But you have to promise me one thing," I said. "What is that?" She asked. "You have to promise me that you will at least try to see in Oscar the capability I see in him. He is the best," I said. She nodded and I broke the hug. "Come, let's go," I said. She looked way more satisfied and intertwined our fingers as we walked downstairs. Oscar was standing at the door and we stopped before him. "Good morning sir," he said. "Good morning," I said. Looking at Shehnaaz, she frowned at Oscar. A few seconds later, Daksh also entered the hall. "Where are you coming from?" I asked. "I went to drop Rahul to school," he said. Looking at my watch, I said, "This early?" Shehnaaz replied, "Actually, I was wanting to tell you but Rahul was too stubborn he wanted to join extra classes from this morning itself so I signed his consent form." "Shehnaaz but you know...." I started but she pouted and cut me saying, "I know. But I couldn't take Rahul's sadness." "How is this going to work? You have to be more strict with him otherwise he will continue to emotional blackmail you," I said. She let go of my hand and turned around. She ran back up the stairs annoyed.
