Shehnaaz's P.O.V.
I was heading to the washroom when I saw some men in black suits lifting a body bag and was carrying someone in a room hidden away. Alerted, I followed them and stood by the door to listen. "The job is done. Man, this Prakash is heavy," one said leaving me stunned. "Sid sir is such a genius. Who would guess that we are hiding him here? Hats off to him," another said. Sidharth captured Prakash? When? And why didn't he tell me anything? I turned around and left and I was walking back, I met Daksh. I frowned at him. "Do you need anything?" He asked. "Yes. I need you to come and meet me tonight at home," I said. "I'm sorry. I can't. I have some very important work to do," he said. "I don't want to hear that. You are coming to meet me tonight and that's final. It's my order," I said. "Ok, I will try," he said. "Try what?" Sidharth asked coming behind him. "Nothing for you to know," I said. Resting his hand on Daksh's shoulder, he gave him a signal with his eyes and Daksh excused himself. "I saw that," I said. "What?" He asked. "That signal that you gave to Daksh," I said. Narrowing his eyes at me, he said, "You have become too suspicious lately." I thought of confronting him about Prakash but decided that this neither is the correct place nor time. I know that he will tell me soon too. "That's a good thing. I will protect myself and others with this skill," I said. "How so?" He asked. "So that if I find anyone or anything suspicious, I can act quickly," I said. "You're always right. Come, I have to officially announce something and I need you to be there," he said. We went back into the hall and Sidharth went onto the stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, friends, colleagues and everyone from the media. This party was thrown for two reasons. One, to announce my official takeover of the empire my Dad brought up and two, to introduce you to someone," he said, "I also have a request to make before the introducation. Mothers, fathers, I request you all to remove my name from your list of eligible bachelors because I am no longer one. That's right. The person whom I want to introduce to you all is none other than my wife."
He held out his hand pointing me and invited me on stage. I shyly went and stood next to him as he held onto me tightly. I smiled for all the camera flashes as he said, "May I introduce to you, the love of my life, my whole heart and soul, my wife, Mrs. Shehnaaz Sidharth Shukla!" The hall filled with applause and I looked around at all the foreigners smiling at me. "Enjoy the party!" He said and left the stage with me. "What was the need for all this?" I asked. "What do you mean? Even I want to show the world how beautiful my wife is," he said. A photographer came up to us and requested a picture. Smiling for the camera, Sidharth whispered in my ear, "Wait till you see the front page of all Romania's newspapers tomorrow. I guarantee you will see yourself. And I will be proud for once seeing my picture." "How so?" I asked. "I will be seen standing next to a Goddess. I have never felt so proud to have someone standing next to me before. Thank you for completing me," he said touching me with his words. I forgot all about my anger from the past few days and smiled wholeheartedly finally. At last, he managed to mollify me. "Excuse me guys," he said and walked through the media personnel. Reaching on the dance floor, the lights dimmed and created a romantic atmosphere. Sidharth held onto my waist and pulled me closer to his body. Smirking, he pushed one of his feet between my two and pushed my left foot out. I smiled and shook my head saying, "I know how to dance." "I thought of giving you a head start since you were too busy staring at me," he said. "Was not," I said. He raised one of his eyebrows and said, "Really?" I bent my head and continued swaying to the song...
...The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath.
And emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky
Never revealing their depth.
And tell me that we belong together,
Dress it up with the trappings of love.
I'll be captivated,
I'll hang from your lips,
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above. And I'll be your crying shoulder,
I'll be love's suicide
And I'll be better when I'm older,
I'll be the greatest fan of your life...He span me around and brought me back to him. Lost in the lyrics which perfectly fit the dance, I felt heavenly. "By the way, even if you were staring at me, I won't mind it. I mean, you have the copyright to me," he said. My smile widened forcefully as I looked at him on his cheesy line.
