Sidharth's P.O.V.
Shehnaaz spent a few days at the hospital and was finally being discharged today. Everyone, especially I was excited for her to return home. As we packed her stuff, she sat and listened to the doctor's lecture on how to take care of herself. Rahul held onto her hand and with me holding the bags walking behind, escorted her out of the hospital. We reached home to meet Mom at the door with a tray in her hands to do 'aarti' which caught everyone, especially Shehnaaz by surprise. The house was decorated beautiful and Mom smiled heartily. "I never used the opportunity to welcome you officially to my family. I was blinded by my own wishes and never understood how much you truly love my son. What else can a mother want? My house is blessed to have a daughter-in-law like you," she said and proceeded to perform her rituals. Shehnaaz, overwhelmed, looked at me with both tears and smiles. I know how much she wanted this moment. "Come in," Mom said. Shehnaaz sat on the sofa, next to me and Mom proceeded to go and sit with Rahul, shockingly. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed his hair. Looking at him, she said, "From now on, you will address me as Mom. So what if you aren't my biological child? Bonds are formed from the heart, not always blood." Rahul also cried with joy. Finally, he also got his mother. I got up and went to her. Kneeling down in front her, I held her hands and said to her, "I became a little distant from you because I thought you were not my same loving and understanding mother. But today you have done me a huge favour by returning her. I love you Mom." I rested my head on her lap and she caressed it with love.
Later in our room, I entered and found Shehnaaz sleeping on the bed peacefully. She looked no less than an angel. I went up to her and kissed her forehead lightly. Getting up, I went and stared at the night sky by the window. Two hands came and hugged my torso and I smiled. "You weren't sleeping?" I asked. "I was. You woke me up," she said. "I'm sorry," I said. Holding her hand, I turned around and sat on the window sill. I held her hand and looked at her silently. "What happened?" She asked. "I am just wondering how on earth I got so lucky to have you in my life," I was. She stepped closer to me and intertwined our fingers. Coming closer and closer to me, she kissed the corner of my lips starting a new emotion. My hand snaked around her waist and pulled her closer to my body. The moment was heating up as she caressed my nose and outlined it with hers saying, "I missed you so much." Her hands reached my shirt button and slowly, she unbuttoned it. Pushing it slightly off my back, she kissed my shoulder and neck, really turning me on. My hands ran up her back and pulled her strap down. I slowly kissed and teased her neck and shoulders as she ran her hands through my hair with pleasure. I stood up straight and began walking forward with her going backwards. Our bodies separated not for a single second as we reached the bed. Laying down, I buried my face in her hair and made love after so many nights.
Shehnaaz's P.O.V.
Three weeks later, I laid on the bed while Sidharth was sleeping and waited. Not feeling anything, I rushed to the bathroom and found that I had missed my period. Excited at what this could possibly mean, I snuck out of the room and called Daksh. "Shehnaaz, are you ok?" He asked answering. "Come and meet me by the pool. Right now," I said whispering. "Ok. I'm coming," he said. I went downstairs, quietly and paced left and right once at the pool in excitement and nervousness. Daksh came and before he could ask or say anything, I said, "I need a favour right now." "What is it?" He asked. "I need you to take me to a pharmacy," I said. "Are you sick?" He asked. "No, I just need something personal," I said. "At this hour? We can get it in the morning," he said. "No! We can't. I can't wait until the morning," I said. "Shehnaaz," he said holding my shoulders, "What is it? You can tell me." I looked at him and took a deep breath. Letting it out, I calmed myself a little and said, "Ok, so, I think that, I...am...pregnant." He stared at me for a while as I waited for a reaction. Slowly, the smiled started to appear as it sank in his head and he opened his open to shout but I quickly covered it up. "Don't shout," I said. He closed his eyes and nodded anxiously. Removing my hand, he asked filled with excitement, "Are you serious?" "No, not yet that's why I need a pregnancy test," I said. "Chuck the pregnancy test, I'll carry you to the hospital to confirm," he said. "Really?" I asked. He nodded. "Ok, let's go. I'll just go and change," I said. I rn back to my room and changed into some track pants and sweater and left with Daksh for the hospital. Nervous for any of the two results, I played with my fingers and rubbed my hands together. We reached the hospital in a short time and since it was after midnight, the hospital was relatively empty so we went in to meet the gynaecologist without having to wait.
