Somewhere deep in the magical forest where almost nobody came. You can find a little cottage made of wood, overgrown with all different sorts of plants and flowers. Close to a creek, it was so peaceful that the only things you could hear was the birds and the water stream. So to know who lives there is pretty unexpected. But since 6 years ago the way of living drastically changed there. By a new soul that lighted up the place.
"Where are you..." Raven called out. Siofra was hiding under her bed trying to stay as quiet as possible. Right as she thought it was safe she came out of her hiding spot, at that exact moment Raven entered the room. "There you are, I've looked all over the house for you. I guess you're still the queen of hide and seek after all." Raven said smiling to Siofra. "I've always been the best and I always will be, mom." Siofra said with a proud smile on her face.
Later that night Siofra and Raven were sitting at their table eating their supper. "I'm full mommmm." Siofra complaint. "Alright then go brush your teeth and make yourself ready for bed. I will be there in a second." Raven said while cleaning of the table. Siofra ran off to the bathroom. When raven was done with the dishes she went to siofra's room to read her a bedtime story. When suddenly she heard the church bells ring 9 o'clock. That meant she had to report to the castle. The bedtime story would have to wait for another time. "Siofra I have to leave, it's a work thing. I probably won't be back 'till morning. Good night my angel." Raven said as she walked out the door.
Siofra hated it when her mom had to work late and that was almost always. In fact Raven had to work most of the time. And Siofra didn't even know what she did. Her mom never wanted to tell and every time she asked, the answer would be that it's grown up stuff. The worst part of it all was that Siofra was home alone and she was terrified to be alone. There was something about living deep in the woods where nobody ever came that gave her the chills. And not knowing any other human except her mom wasn't very comforting either.
While she was trying to fall asleep she started thinking about it, her life was very isolated. Never was she allowed to visit the village or even go near the edges of the woods. She didn't really care about that so much but when she was alone the thought of being surrounded by more people sounded nice. And to be honest she was also a little curious. But as the good daughter she is her mom's will was her command.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Siofra happy birthday to you." Raven sung as she brought in the cake. Siofra thanked her mom. Then raven asked: "Now tell me how does it feel to be 10 years old?". "Pretty much the same as 9. Mom, did you bake this cake yourself because it's really good?" Siofra asked while stuffing her mouth full of cake. "You sound so surprised. Do you really think I can't bake a cake that good? I feel offended." Raven said while laughing. "No no, of course not you're the best baker I know." She answered. "Nice save, but I'm the only baker you know." Raven responded. "So mom which games are we going to play after dessert?" Siofra asked. "Well sweet darling I have so many ideas-" Raven was cut off by a black bird sitting by the window and that could only mean one thing, the king needed her. "What mom, what are your ideas?" Siofra asked with a worried face. "Uuuhhmm, sweetie I'm so sorry but I have to go now. I promise I'll make it up to you." Raven said full of guilt. But there was no other choice in the matter. "No, don't go you always do that, it's my birthday. Can't you just stay a bit longer." Siofra begged her mom to stay. But she left anyways.
Not long after Raven left, Siofra decided to go to bed and get some sleep. Now it's something past midnight and Siofra was suddenly awoken by someone entering the house. Scared she went to the door of her room to see who it was. When see peeked through the keyhole, she was relieved to see it was her mom. But something was off, Raven had two large swords in her hands and it almost looked like she was cleaning some kind of liquid off of it. For a moment Siofra wanted to go to her and ask what was going on. But then she remembered that she should be asleep by now. Siofra thought to herself that she would ask in the morning. So she quickly went to her bed and straight as she hit the bed she fell asleep again. By morning when she woke up whatever it was what she witnessed last night was nothing more than a fussy memory buried deep down in her mind.
Now it's a week after her 16th birthday. Now that she was getting older her mom was less and less at home. Siofra hated that part of her mom's job but truth be told she still had no idea what that was. But that doesn't really matter what does is that she is stuck home and bored out of her mind. Years have passed and still she wasn't allowed to go 1 mile from home. Because that's all she's got, the 1 mile radius is going to have to do it.
After a while of exploring Siofra stumbled upon something she had never noticed before. It was a little shed almost completely hidden by plants. "Finally, something interesting." She thought. Excited Siofra made her way to the mysterious hut. The squeaky door opened and Siofra found something even she couldn't believe it, although she saw it with her own eyes. It were a lot of different things from all over the realm. "Were it prizes of some sort or collections?" Siofra thought to herself. Little did she know it were trophies but not the kind she thought. It was actually things Raven took from all her missions she had been on, as a reminder to what she was, and that's a killer.
Then she noticed with every object came a little note. They were clearly written by Raven that was noticeable off of her handwriting and the seal at the end, that you could find everywhere in the house. After a while of reading Siofra found one specific interesting letter. It said something about a 'mission Freyville' and not being completed. And now it's getting quite interesting it is going on about a child she found and took home with her. It wasn't a shock to Siofra that Raven wasn't her real mom because well she was an elf and Raven was a human. So the only logical thing Siofra could think of is that she's the child mentioned in the letter. Then it hit her, she had a family a whole village for that matter. And she can't even remember them, or hasn't even met them. There it was the idea that would start everything. She was going to find her family, her real one. She was home alone most of the times anyways. What was a little trip going to ruin. Not like it was going to take long, nobody would even notice she left.
