"If they cannot like you;Make them fear you."-

"It is an honor, lords and ladies of Pervian. We welcome your esteemed presence at today's council meeting as we endeavor to dismantle the walls of hatred and malice erected by those who fear progress," Morris declared with a deep bow.

"I call upon us all to rise and show respect to King Eldon, sovereign of these lands. All bow," he continued. The assembly rose with heads bowed as the grand doors swung open. Through the opulent interior, the king appeared, resplendent in golden attire. "All may rise," he acknowledged, allowing the assembled nobility to take their seats. Two imperial knights clad in silver armor followed closely behind him.

As the king settled upon his throne, a profound silence enveloped the room, leaving many questions unspoken. Sungmin cracked his knuckles beneath the table, his tension palpable. He knew it. He knew those wild dogs were alive. His jaw clenched as he recalled the king's cordial reception of the wolf who styled himself the High King of the accursed forest.

"I am aware of the discontent caused by my decision to withhold such crucial information from the council. However, I hope you grasp the significance of today's proceedings for our future," the king's voice rang clear, his crown gleaming with pride.

"Pervian is entering a pact with Azur." Soft gasps rippled through the room, the grand table with its twelve chairs, each representing a province, now abuzz with whispers. The king's fist struck the table, commanding immediate silence.

"I request the high society to extend the same respect to the High King of Azur as they afford me." The word 'request' bore the weight of command as the king's gaze darkened, daring any to oppose his will. He was the king, and he knew best.

Curiously, another throne, as grand as the king's, stood opposite his at the table, a stark contrast to the simpler chairs designated for each lord according to their hierarchy.

"Men and wolves have unfortunately not been on amicable terms for centuries. Today, we shall make history." Morris rose once more. "Rise all and welcome His Majesty, the High King of Azur, sovereign of the land of the goddess, and Grand Duke Min." The doors opened again, revealing a figure in stark contrast to King Eldon.

Clad in dark attire and a trailing black cloak, Namjoon's presence dimmed the room. His silver earrings and cufflinks gleamed, matching the trim of his cloak. His aura dominated the space. The black fur on the cloak over his shoulder, enlarged his silhouette, making him appear more menacing than he already was.  Taller than any human present, he bowed courteously. "Greetings from the goddess."

"Welcome, Your Majesty," Eldon greeted, masking his nerves.

He knew well the ambition within every province of Pervian, each aspiring to ascend the throne upon his death.

But Namjoon, though ruling a smaller kingdom, possessed power beyond words. Blessed with physical strength and magical prowess, his kingdom's might was formidable. The man before Eldon was more powerful than himself.

If Azur so wished, it could have overpowered Pervian swiftly. Yet Namjoon, to Eldon's relief, believed in life more than vengeance.

"Greetings, Your Majesty, King Eldon," Namjoon responded, lowering himself in respect. As he rose, so did the others.

Sungmin's chest tightened with terror, his nerves fraying with each passing second. His fists clenched, invisible fingers seemingly closing around his throat.
