Note: it is proven that the human brain cannot love more than one person at a time, so I kinda added that into this. Also I had a heart attack writing Kazuichi instead of Souda lmao.

Prompt: Gundham got cheated on by Sonia and goes to vent to Souda.

As Gundham waded through the crowd to find his girlfriend, Sonia Nevermind, he suddenly froze.

Why?

Sonia was kissing her best friend, Chiaki Nanami.

Gundham turned away to leave the party, but first got out his phone. He texted Sonia, then put it back in his pocket.

He didn't care that 'text-dumping' was the worst thing you could do. He just didn't care. If anything, he would have been happy if she had dumped him outright for Chiaki, but instead she chose to betray him.

He grabbed his phone back out of his pocket once he got outside.

Texting his best friend, Kazuichi Souda, he wrote:

'Hello mortal Kazuichi. Would you mind if I were to reside in your abode for the current time?'

He quickly got a response and subconsciously smiled at it.

'Huh? You want to stay at my house for now? Sure, why not?'

The breeder began to walk to Kazuichi's house, as it was only a few blocks away from where he was.

Gundham knocked on the door, and it was opened a second after.

He smiled internally at the sight of the neon pink hair and black beanie his friend had.

"Hey dude! What're you coming here so late? Shouldn't you be with Miss Sonia?" Kazuichi asked, stepping aside to let Gundham inside his house.

Gundham sighed as he sat down onto the couch.

"Sonia cheated on me." he confessed, taking the devas out of his scarf one by one, allowing them to be run free.

"She what?! Who did she cheat with?" Kazuichi asked, taking the seat across from the other.

"The gamer, Chiaki." Gundham began to feel sadness, jealousy and despair start welling up in his stomach.

Something inside him broke, then. He suddenly started to break down in tears, sobbing loudly.

Kazuichi, on the other hand, was stunned.

The great Gundham Tanaka's godlike façade had fallen to reveal an exhausted, beaten down boy.

As Gundham cried into Kazuichi's arms, he realised something.

The feeling he felt around Sonia was much less comforting than what he felt with Kazuichi.

Then, he realised something.

He was in love with his best friend, Kazuichi Souda.

As he looked up at Kazuichi, he knew he had to take the plunge now.

"There is another subject that I... just became aware of." Gundham's voice was soft, but his style of speaking had not changed.

"What is it?" Kazuichi asked, looking up now that Gundham had regained his entire sitting height.

Gundham turned to him, taking a deep breath.

"As nice as she may be, I harboured no romantic feelings for Sonia Nevermind. I realise that all I felt was the feeling of friendship. I, infact, have found I love you." Gundham cradled one of the devas that had run up to him.

Kazuichi was stunned. Sure, he felt the same, but... Gundham really felt nothing for Sonia? They had always seemed so in love. Ah. 'Seemed.' That word made it all clear. Maybe Sonia was faking and Gundham never realised until now. He would never know.

"R-really?" Kazuichi stuttered, attempting to avoid Gundham's eyes (and hide his blush)

"Yes... I understand, however, if you do not feel the same." Gundham looked down at his feet.

"Who said I didn't feel the same? Kazuichi asked, seeming confused.

Gundham looked up. "You do?"

"Yeah..." Kazuichi had barely any time to react when he felt Gundham press his lips against Kazuichi's.

As they parted, Gundham whispered, "I love you."

Kazuichi smiled as he replied. "I love you too."
