I updated this chapter yesterday but somehow it got deleted, so here's it is again!
Happy reading.

The car ride to the mall was absolutely torturous. Nata kept drilling me with questions about mine and Conners relationship. Which would have been fine, except Nata does not, does not hold anything back. At all. She has absolutely no filter.

"So, you and Conner?" She sighed and said more or less to herself. I don't think the idea of Commer being in a relationship, with anyone has quiet sunk in yet.

She was gripping the steering wheel so hard her knuckles where turning white. Her eyes strained in on the glossy road ahead of us. It was beyond slippery, almost like driving on an ice rink. And I hoped we wouldn't end up mauled and flipped over like the ditch with the four other cars we already spotted out.

She looked very uncomfortable driving, which in turn made me very uneasy because if she was uncomfortable that didn't make anything comfortable. I would have offered to drive, but I doubt I would be any better. My driving skills were never really up to par. My mom slipped my driving teacher a fifty bribing him to pass me. Which he did because fifty dollars is probably enough to save him from the stress of my driving skills.
It worked out perfectly at the time, but now. Not so much.

Granted I wasn't completely hopeless, I stopped at red lights, stayed in my lane. In other words I was good enough to have never been pulled over. Yet at least.

Car five, I mentally counted. I have counted five cars that have wound up the ditch whithin the past hour or so.

Nata seemed to be a bit shaken up over the five cars, knowing one of them could be us at any second.

"Nata, we don't have to go." I suggested but she didn't look at me her eyes straining to see threw the mass of snowflakes that where accumulating against the window.

"We could just find something back at the apartment."

She started to slow down, without even saying anything she pulled to the side of the road, which was covered in snow. The difference between the side of the road and the ditch was hardly distinguishable.

She let out a huge breath of air her body visible relaxed and she leaned her head up against the grey headrest.

"Thank god, but I thought you didn't have anything to wear?" She said while rubbing her eyes.

I thought about it, I did want to go shopping with Nata but it's not worth potentially dying for.

"I'm sure we could find something."

"Okay, but if we can't find anything?"

"Then I'll go in jeans."

Her face scrunched up and she glared at me.

"No, jeans."

I agreed with her. Knowing she wouldn't drive back if I didn't.

And thus we turned around and started the hour or so drive back to the apartment.

I fumbled for my keys, and when I found them unlocked the door.

Within seconds I was engulfed in Conner.

"Hello." He said wrapping his arms around my waist lifting me up, and I wrapped my arms around his neck holding on.

I could tell he had just gotten out of the shower because his hair was drenching wet, despite that he had already gotten dressed.

"Hello." I said the wind seeming to be completely nocked out of me.

He held me tighter nuzzling his head into the crook on my neck.
