- I was just telling your family how I accidentally poured coffee on you during the contest. Wasn't that funny? - Said Andy as a stressed out Kevin appeared behind me.
- Oh yeah. - I replied with a wry smile on my lips. - I was having a great time.
I began to take my place at the furthest part of the table. This was due to the fact that the three of us were quite late for this dinner. Apparently, Apolonia decided that our seats would go to the guests. I immediately guessed that Kevin would take the seat next to Anda, since he was his companion. I, on the other hand, was traditionally seated next to Aurelia, who was today in what I can safely call depression. As for me, there were many thoughts swirling around in my head. I wondered how desperate Andy must be if he came here at Kevin's invitation. He must have guessed that Kevin wasn't doing this to please him but just to get back at me. Unfortunately, as it turned out, Kevin had not carefully thought through the consequences of his decision or the fact that Aurelia could and had lied about Rayan at our parents' wedding. On the one hand, I couldn't be surprised at Kevin. He didn't live here with us on a daily basis and was estranged from me so he also couldn't know how much or if at all my relationship with the doberman was progressing. However, that doesn't change the fact that bringing someone who honestly hates me to our parents' wedding was a terrible idea. I'm sure Andy knows that too. The question now was whether he would try to make life difficult for just me, or Kevin as well and maybe all the wedding guests.
Kevin very, very carefully took his seat next to Andy. The man's expression clearly indicated that everything was not as it was supposed to be. However, it was too late for any change of plans. Now we had to play our parts to avoid a disaster during the wedding. In fact, Andy could have done anything he wanted, he could have told Catleyn and Gregory that Kevin had much stronger feelings for me than brothers are supposed to have for each other. Andy might as well have made up any story he wanted and told them. The fact that he hadn't done that yet could mean two things. Either he reckoned that if he did he would no longer have any chance of winning Kevin's affections on his own or he was waiting for the right moment to strike. So now he would have to be handled like a delicate egg so as not to break it sometimes. Kevin really could have thought better of what he was doing.
Once the wolf had settled down next to the white wolf, the other wolf scowled for a brief moment. Kevin greeted him and immediately sent me a regretful look. I, on the other hand, discreetly started shaking my head in displeasure. Aurelia didn't pay attention to anything, she didn't even look at Andy and it was because of her scheming that my opponent was now here. My family from the United States didn't realize anything, so they just smiled broadly and talked about the wedding. Similarly, my mother, Catleyn was unaware that this wedding rests on a time bomb. Gregory seemed somewhat absent-minded. I was sure he had begun to think deeply about why his son had invited a friend to his wedding. Luna, on the other hand, was very strange. She looked as if swallowing food caused her pain. She tried not to look towards Kevin and Andy at all. There were certainly a lot of thoughts in her head right now. She was probably worried that Andy was also gay and was secretly moving with Kevin. She was probably confused, because until now she had thought that Kevin and I had something in common. Apolonia, on the other hand, was just like Apolonia. She pretended that she wasn't listening to anyone and wasn't interested in the situation at the table. In reality she probably did not miss any detail. But nobody knows that, maybe the old woman was just trying to eat what Bobby prepared to eat? Today she did not complain, she did not say anything, she did not even say a word about the way the new cook cook cooked.
- Actually, why are you drinking coffee so late Andy? - My mom asked with a wide smile on her lips while taking a sip of red wine.
- Andy prefers to drink milk instead of coffee. - I replied while picking at my portion of food with my fork.
