It was just some guy. She recognized him from somewhere, but he was no one close. She was happy for that. The man was about the same size as her dad (5 feet, 6 inches), and about the same colour hair. Then she realized who he was. He was one of the lords advisers. Who had killed him? Why was he here? A couple minutes had passed when she realized she should call for help. She did.
“Help! Guards!” she screamed into the night.
She heard the clanking of Armour growing louder, when two guards came around the corner, both with their swords drawn. When they realized there was no immediate threat, they put their swords away. They asked her a couple questions like “How long ago did you find him” and “Why were you out this late”. After answering them they told her to go home. When she got there she went straight to bed.
She woke up in the morning at about 7, like usual. She put her clothes on and went into the den. Her dad was still asleep, so she went outside silently. It was Sunday, so she didn't go hunting. She went straight to practicing her magic. She didn't have a staff, so she became custom to using her hands.
“Ignis Profusum”
That was the most basic fire spell there was. It was difficult to master, but once you do, it became much easier to learn other fire spells. After uttering those words a small flame came from the tip of her fingers, but died down after moving a couple feet and became a small spark which fell to the ground. It was actually pretty good for her little skill as a mage. After doing this a few more times, she walked back inside. Her dad was up and just about to leave.
“There you are, I was looking for you. I have to leave town for a few weeks on a work related trip.”
“What?! When?!”
“Today.”
“What!? Why didn't you tell me earlier!?
“I just found out today. Listen, I'm really sorry, but I can't change it.”
“It's fine, Bye.”
And with that she left to go into town. It was the same as it was yesterday, except know everyone seemed to happy. She walked through the market place glumly. Some people said hi, she just glanced at them. She returned home after a couple of hours to find her dad's horse was gone. She had the house to herself, which she convinced herself was a relief. She was still angry at her dad and decided to drink some of his ale. While she was drinking she decided to go to Tibilof. “Why not?” She reasoned. Her dad was gone, she didn't like the monarchy. It fit. She was to join the Negas. She grabbed her bow, clothes, food, and her horse. Then she set off.
