Riva's pov
Each and every second is feeling like an eternity to me now. Dad's treatment is still going on and doctor's haven't said a word till now which is scaring me a lot.
I just hope all goes well and dad get well soon. After that I'm not letting his health compromise even a bit. It's my fault too. I'm, myself a doctor and then also I didn't see how my father's health was bad.
The red bulb went to off as doctor came out of the hospital. I rushed to him.
"How's my dad now? Is he gonna be okay?" I asked him as he removed his mask.
"He's out of danger now. It wasn't a heart stroke but a minor heart attack. Thank god he was brought at the right time otherwise things could have been worse. Now he is fine but I will advise you to not give me any type of stress or tension because it can easily affect his health. It might be minor this time but we can't say anything of future. So just take care of him and keep him in happy and peaceful environment." He replied and went away.
Thank God. I'm glad dad is okay now.
"Patient has gained the consciousness now. You all can meet him but don't talk much." A nurse said as they all shifted dad an hour ago in a room.
Mom, avi and everyone rushed inside to meet him but I couldn't get myself inside. I was feeling guilty of not being there for him when he needed me. I sat on one of the chair outside. Ayaan uncle came and sat beside me. I looked at him and then just hugged him as some years escaped my eyes.
"I.. I'm sorry uncle. I shouldn't have shouted at you. It wasn't your fault. I was just angry at that time and my anger just took over me." I apologized to him as he just hugged my rubbed my back.
"It's okay beta. I know you didn't meant all that. So just calm down and just wash your face now. Your dad wants to meet his princess." He said smiling. I stood up and went to washroom. After washing my face combing my hair with my hand I went to meet my dad.
I opened the door and saw mom sitting on a chair beside the hospital bed. Ayesha maa was on the other side of bed with chote papa standing behind him. Sunaina aunty and ayaan uncle were sitting on the sofa with avi and sara too. The room was the best one in the hospital with all the facilities. Veer was standing at the foot of dad's bed. And then there was my dad, my hero laying on the hospital bed looking so weak and pale.
I moved towards him and stood beside my mom.
"Ri, princess." Dad said as he looked at me. He still had his beautiful smile on his face.
"Don't princess me. I'm not talking to you." I said as a tear escaped my eyes and I wiped it.
"What did your old dadda do now?" He said making a cute pout. Everyone chuckled looking at him.
"Don't try to act so innocent and cute now. And who said that you are old. My Dadda is still young." I replied to him as I held his hand and kissed the back of his palm.
"That I am. Now don't cry princess. You know your dad can't see tears in your eyes." He said as he tried to wipe my tears.
"Then why didn't you told me about your health. I was so scared and terrified when I came to know that you had a heart attack. I love you and I just don't want to lose you. You're my super hero dadda." I said hugging his torso lightly. He kissed my forehead affectionately.
"I'm not going anywhere anytime soon leaving my princess. I love you too my baccha. Now just smile. You dad is fine now." He said as I smiled lightly.
"What about me dad?" Avi asked as we both looked at him.
"I love my monkey son too." Dad said as we all laughed.
Everyone left after talking with dad sometime. It was only me, mom and veer now who wasn't gonna leave anytime soon.
Right now mom and dad were talking softly. Veer was doing some office work on his laptop sitting on the sofa while I was just scrolling down my insta feeds.
"Dad I'm gonna go and talk to doctor about discharge and all." He nodded as I left the room.
I knocked the door and after the approval I went inside.
"Hello Mr. Awasthi. I just wanted to ask about dad's discharge and all." I asked him.
"He will be discharged by tomorrow morning. You can take him after that." He replied.
"I hope he can travel to. I mean we have to go mumbai back and we have our private jet so there won't be much problem."
"Yeah yeah. He can travel that much distance. Riva you just have to take care that he doesn't take any type of stress or tension and doesn't overwork. Because his heart condition is still weak. So any small tension can lead to big problems. Moreover just try to keep him happy. That's the best way." He said. After inquiring about some more things I left his cabin.
"Where are you going?" I asked him as I moved inside the room.
"Kavya aunty has to take some rest so I will just drop her back and come back." Veer said.
"You don't have to veer. You should take some rest too. I'm here only." I said to him.
"Fine. I will come back in two to three hours then." I nodded as he and mom left.
I was doing some work on my phone when dad called my name.
"Princess I wanna ask you something. Will you agree to that?" He asked me as he held my hand.
"Dad you don't have to ask me. You just have to order your daughter." I said smiling and he smiled back.
"I want you to marry veer."
