Riva's pov
Finally the day is over now. It was so hectic with so many surgeries and all. I walked in Ayaan uncle's cabin and saw him sitting with his specs on reading some patients file.
"Hey uncle." I said sitting on the chair.
"Hello my child. So tired huh!" He said removing his specs and I just hummed.
"Don't sleep yet. Let's go it's already late and Kabir has called me like 30 times. I'm telling you your father is one hell of protective dad." He said as we walked towards his car.
"Yeah. He is like this from childhood. Actually uncle I have to ask you for one week leave. Sam is getting married and as you also know it's a destination wedding so I need some days off." I said.
"No problem. I too have to go there. It will be like vacation finally. I will check the schedules and all." He said. And then there was silence in the car. I put on the radio and suddenly tum hi ho started playing on the radio station. And it took me back to my old memories.
"So the bottle stops on veer. Now veer tell truth or dare." Neil, one of our college buddies asked. Veer who was sitting beside e with a grumpy face just shrugged.
"Babe you have to choose one." I said tugging on his arm.
"Fine." He said and gave a peck on my lips. I blushed. He picked up dare. He really don't like playing these games and all but I being the stubborn girl I am just dragged with me
"So your dare is to sing a song for riva." Everyone hooted as usual because they all know that veer has a beautiful voice but he doesn't like to sing for crowds. So as usual he denied.
"Won't you sing for your babygirl." I said making a pout which he kissed again making me blush again.
"You're so such stubborn girl. But what can I do I have lost my heart to you." He aud looking in my eyes. I really love him a lot. He always says these things makes butterflies fly in my stomach.
Neil brought his guitar and passed it veer.
He started playing the tunes of my and his favourite song Tum hi ho.

He was directly looking in my eyes. I could feel each and every emotion of this song. It's like it was made for both of us.

I stood up and took a hold of his and he passed the guitar to Neil who started playing it. And we both started dancing on the song. I had my arms around his neck and he held me from my waist.

As soon as the song finished I kissed him which he happily responded to.
"I love you. I love you a lot veer. Promise me veer you will never ever leave me because you are my everything." I said as tears escaped my eyes.
He wiped away me tears and kissed my forehead.
"I love you too babygirl. I promise I will never leave you because you are my life." He said.
My thoughts broke off as uncle was blaring the horn. A tear escaped my eyes and I wiped it fastly before he could see.
All those promises were fake just like his love which was fake. If he would have loved me then he would have believed me.
I bid bye to uncle as he dropped me off. Before I could ring the bell maa opened the door. It was Ayesha maa. I hugged her tightly.
"I missed you maa. I missed you so much." I said as tears escaped eyes. His memories and now seeing my Ayesha maa after so long my tears were not stopping.
"Ri, my baccha. I missed you too. Now stop crying." She broke the hug and said. But my tears were just not stopping.
"You are scaring me now. Did something happened at hospital?" She called mom and dad who were I think sitting living room.
As soon as dad saw me he hugged me and said some soothing words that did calm me a little. After a minute or two I stopped.
"Nothing happened before you all start asking. It's just I saw someone dying in hospital today. And it was hard for me." I lied because I can't tell them the truth and make them sad again..
"Aww. My baby you scared me so much." Mom said as she gave a hug and then we all moved inside.
Mom served me dinner and I started eating and three of them sat with started talking about Sam's wedding as her family came today to give them the wedding card.
They all were smiling and this smile means a lot to me. I won't cry for him. He means nothing to me now. My family is my everything.
