35. 1st task

that day moody told us that we could leave classes to practice for the task

Right now we were sitting in harry's dorm and the next period started just now

That means our friends will be out for another 2 hours

What we were reading was really boring

Harry was taught the accio charm by professor moody so he could accio his broom

I will just use my ice powers

Everything was sorted but then also harry insisted on me to read

I wasn't reading but harry was reading

He wasn't giving me any attention, just the book was getting everything

Then I got an idea

I flickered his head, disturbing him

He grunted in annoyance, as I giggled

And this kept on going for as long Harry tried to read

"Please circle around me" crouch said
We were in the tent, before our 1st task

I slightly limped towards him as harry smirked in victory, knowing he did this to me

"Now you will place your hand inside this bag, and take out one of the small dragons, which will the there on the field, in their real sizes" barty said

Fleur got a common welsh green

Viktor got a hebridean black

Cedric got a swedish short-snout

I got a chinese fire ball

And harry got a hungarian horntail

I was really worried for harry, because he got the most dangerous of them all

After the 3 of them finished the task

It was now my turn

Harry told me to take care and kissed my forehead

As I entered the arena

I looked up and saw the dragon

It looked at me with those dangerous eyes

I slowly started walking towards the egg

The dragon figured out that I was going for the egg, which angered him

It blew fire on me, as I raised my hands and threw ice at it in my defense

The fire and the ice collided

The fire started to slowly die down and the force of my ice started to become more powerful

At last the dragon slightly flew back because of the ice

It looked at me confused which was immediately replaced by anger

It blew fire again as I did the same with the ice

It had the same outcome

The dragon flew back again, and then blew fire again

I figured that the dragon won't give up

So while I was throwing ice, I started to move towards the egg

I got near it just enough so that I can pick it up

I left throwing ice with my left hand and used it to pick the egg

Because I was using only 1 hand the dragon started to overpower

The fire was incredibly close now

The fire defeated my ice and burnt my right arm

I screamed in pain as my right hand started to sting

I used the ice to calm the burning while I used both my hands to overpower him now

I tried to overpower him and throw him backwards a little far

I was successful

The dragon flew backwards landing on the ground with a loud thump!

Everyone in the arena stood up in shock

I looked at my right arm to see that my arm was mostly healed and only scars were left

I went for the egg and hoisted it up showing it to the judges

Dumbledore gave me a 10

Maxime gave me a 10

Karkaroff gave me a 7

Barty crouch senior gave me another 10

And lastly ludo bagman gave me another 10

Making my total score 47

After me was harry

In the middle I heard that harry flew away with the dragon behind him

I prayed for him to be safe while peeking out of the curtain

After sometime I heard cheers

I looked back out and saw harry flying on his broom

He landed as I ran towards him and hugged him tightly

He patted my head as I looked up at his face

I looked at the judges

Dumbledore gave him a 10

Maxime gave him a 9

Karkaroff gave him a 6

Barty crouch senior gave him another 10

And lastly ludo bagman gave him another 10

Making his total score 35

We looked at him happily and hugged him again

Cedric and I were tied for the 1st place

Harry was second

Viktor was third

And fleur was fourth
