It's that feeling when you're in so much pain but you know you can't do anything so you just...smile. It's that feeling when you feel helpless so you just...smile. It's that feeling when you feel like you have no one to help you get through that pain so you just...smile.

Your smile of what looks like joy to everyone else but is actually full of pain is now always on your face. That smile is what's showing your pain without anyone knowing. That smile is what's giving identity to your pain. That smile is a sham.
A smile is supposed to be full of joy...not pain. A smile is supposed to be a projection of your happiness...not your sadness. A smile is supposed to tell the truth...not lie.
A fake smile is a misery your face gets used to. A fake smile is an agony that your face holds. A fake smile is something you choose to show people when you're in pain the most.
Sometimes all you do is smile...even if it's fake. You hold your tears back and fake a smile. Behind every smile is painful.
You fake a smile because it's easier than explaining why you're in pain. You fake a smile because you think it'll hurt less.
