Emotions. Feels. All of that stuff. Also the fact that Ki Hong Lee got married and there were inflatable ponies. That made me full on fangirl at school. I don't care what people think of me and my insane emotions and moods. But sometimes I do care. Even though I don't want to care, I sometimes do.

Some days I wish I was completely devoid of emotion. My friends, Jenae and Tara, seemingly are, although I know they're not. They simply don't care what goes on, and they don't purposely try to ruin anybody's life. They speak their mind and don't meddle, unlike Jackson Nickles.

It happened on Monday during lunch break. I purposely wore my Camp Taylor shirt because I knew Luke would been there, and I wanted him to see me. To my luck, he did. But not without Jackson saying things about me.

Lanie wanted me to talk him. She called his name out several times, and then Adriana approached me.

"Touch Luke's hair. It's hecka soft," she told me. I shook my head.

"Dude!" Lanie whispered. "He keeps looking over here." She cocked her head at the perfect angle where she could see his face but he couldn't see hers. "Now!"

I turned around and I could feel him staring through a gap between his circle of friends. I raised my eyebrows at him and he looked down. Jenae walked up to Tara, Lanie, Adriana, and I.

"Do you like, like him or something?" asked Jenae.

"Yes, I like him. I like him to the point of where I Googled his dad and found out his address," I said.

"Oh my gosh, Maddy. You have an issue," she laughed.

"Tell me about it."

Adriana and Lanie kind of inched closer to Luke so subtly and slowly that I didn't notice. We started talking to Adriana's crush, Jacob Lascaro, and Tara and Lanie were fighting over whether or not Lanie and her new boyfriend, Carl, were a good match. Jackson turned to look at where I was judging Adriana's shameless flirting with Jacob.

"You got closer," Jackson said with eyebrows raised.

"It's only so Adri can talk to Ja-cob," I replied, using unnecessary enunciation.

"Whatever," laughed Jackson and he turned back to his friends. Brianna, this trashy girl who wore booty shorts in the middle of the winter, was also flirting with Luke. I shot daggers with my eyes and turned back to Adri, who had mysteriously vanished. Tara and Lanie were still fighting over whether #larl was a thing. From my point of view, haha, NO.

I continued to scan the small clumps of people; some were girls flirting their butts off with Austin Waters and Jacob Lascaro, two unhumanly tall homeschool boys, others were basketball boys, others were the Pops, who were stick figured popular girls (hence the name Pop, both skinny like a popsicle stick and popular), and the cool boys, who had sucked in Luke Alan thanks to Luke's mad basketball skills. And can you guess where Adri was?

With. Luke. Freaking. Alan.

And she was laughing, too!

"Maddy!" she exclaimed. "Come over here."

I walked over grudgingly because I didn't want to be sucked into the #larl thing, or be stuck talking to Austin or Jacob, the BBB (Basketball Boys), or the Pops. I rested my head on Adriana's shoulder and looked around. There was Giddy, the leader of the cool boys, Jackson, Gideon's sidekick and my nemesis, Zach, Jennah's boyfriend, Jax, Jennah's brother, and Luke Alan, my obvious crush.
