Chapter Five

The next day I woke up lying in my bed. Hace must be the one who brought me here, the image of him carrying me made my cheeks red like a tomato. Maayos na ang pakiramdam ko ngunit feeling ko ay babalik ang sakit ko dahil sa mga naiisip.

I heard a knock on the door when I was about to get up. Hace entered in my room wearing a pair of pajamas. He looks like he just woke up too, but the difference is he look so good and fresh in the morning without even a bath!

"How are you feeling right now?" He sat on the chair near my bed.

My bed is facing the window where you can see the rising sun every morning.

I gathered my strength and luckily I was able to sit on my own, "I feel fine already, I just feel dizzy sometimes." I replied.

Nakita ko ang ilang medicine capsules sa side table ko. Kinuha niya 'yon pati ang isang basong tubig na ngayon ko lang napansin.

Morning with Hace is usual but today, it kinda feels different. O baka ako lang naman ang nakakapansin roon.

He opened the medicine capsules and handed it to me. "I already send an excuse letter your teacher," sabi niya.

I forgot that today is Saturday. Mayroon pala kaming local tour. I'm okay but I think Hace won't let me, lalo na kapag utos iyon ni Mommy.

I feel sad for not being able to attend the tour. Siguradong may hang out ang mga classmates ko after, I will be missing the fun!

"Thank you." I replied.

"I will be leaving later. Okay lang ba sa 'yo?" He asked. Inilapag niya ang baso sa mesa at muling humarap sa akin.

I nodded without questions, "Okay lang. Where are you going, anyway?" 

He look hesitant, whatever it is I don't have the right to oppose. Or maybe he just don't want me to know?

"Um... Birthday n'ong stepsister in Loius, uh.. I was invited to go for a drink.. in a bar." putol putol na sabi niya.

I see no reason for him to feel hesitant. I know, he got an active social life, he got a big circle of friends, he's famous and he's a friend of mine.. I think?

"I don't mind and you don't need to ask for my permission. Kaya ko na, andiyan lang naman sa baba si Ate Mara." I gave him a smile.

I waved my hand to Hace. He left at exactly six o'clock.

"Aster, handa na ang hapunan mo. Binilin ni Sir na painumin ka pa ng gamot bago matulog kaya nilagay ko na lang ang gamot mo sa tabi ng kama mo." Ate Mara said when she saw me in the living room.

"Salamat, Ate. Sumabay ka na lang po sa akin sa hapunan." I said.

Pinilit ko pa kanina si Hace na kumain ng hapunan bago umalis but he insisted. Napansin ko ang pagmamadali niya kaya hinayaan ko na.

I received a text from Violet later that evening. Hindi ko na sila nakamusta kagabi at hindi ko na rin nagawang magreply sa mga text nila kaninang umaga. I got busy with Hace and his funny stories about our childhood.

I ate my dinner and went to my bed. Hindi ako nakatulog agad kaya napagpasyahan kong mag-online muna. I saw a lot of pictures from my classmates. Tama nga ang naisip ko, they went to Kwangya, a famous Korean restaurant in Isla Paradis.

Maraming pictures ang naipasa sa GC namin, at hindi ko maiwasang manghinayang.

But I noticed one thing... Violet and Draude are not present in any of the pictures. I wonder what did they do? Dahil hindi naman ako nagreply ay hindi na rin nabanggit ni Draude o ni Violet ang ganap nila ngayong araw. I forgot to ask too.
