The Bystander's POV
I can't help but stare at my surrounding's.. there was children laughing and playing while the adults watched them with genuine smiles across each and every face, except two.. me and a small little girl backed away in a corner farther away from the other kids . where were her parents? Why is she sitting alone? Why does she look about as sad as I do? These were all thoughts that crossed my mind, I slowly stumbled my way over to her.
When I was next to her I sat down in front her.. I don't really talk at all so I tapped her shoulder, I figured that she wouldn't see me so I was about to get up and leave when she spoke to me.. "what do you want..?" Her voice was quiet and gentle, I looked at her in shock not knowing what to say, no one had ever seen me before.. I coughed as she looked up at me, "Who are you.. I've never seen you around before?" She questioned me while looking me up and down, I scratched my head in silence while still looking at her, "Why are you crying?" She questioned truly confused, I touched my cold face feeling tears running down my very pale cheeks, I remember that night.. it still haunts me to this day-
She snapped her fingers infront of my face "hello? You gonna answer my questions?" She snapped at me I looked at her coming out of my thought process, I shook my head to tell her no, I wiped the tears off her face then I patted her head, I was about the get up and walk away when she grabbed the hem of my ripped up bloody turtleneck, I looked down at her "can I atleast know who you are..? Please-?" She blurted out quickly, I looked at her, she actually looked desperate just to know who I was, I bent down and grabbed a stick, I wrote in the dirt, she looked at the words You can call me The Bystander, "Your The Bystander? You look so innocent though.." she muttered out to herself, I thought of something for a minute, I reached into my pocket and grabbed something.
I pulled the object out of my pocket and looked at her then at the object, a necklace.. my necklace.. I put it on her and gave her a thumbs up as I stumbled away disappearing out of her view and onto the side of the street continuing what I do best, watching and staying silent.
