Chapter 10: Not the dress!

Bystanders POV

Here I was in the bathroom holding a dress as Sally waited for me outside the door- if I left without the dress she would kill me.. again.

I make sure the door is locked before I go into my non-visible form while I slowly take off my tattered shirt not believing what I'm about to do.

I couldn't stop myself from looking in the mirror at my malnourished and beaten body- why do I look this way?.. NO! I shouldn't think these things. I forced myself to look away as I finally slipped on the dress, being careful of my arm, surprised that it even fits.

I decided to keep my shorts on just in case as I looked at the door debating everything as I held my shirt in one hand while my other hand was just short of grasping the door handle.

I took a deep breath calming my nerves as I went back to my visible form before I opened the door and stepped out infront of Sally as she looked at me with.. astonishment? Huh I'm not sure.

"Mr. Bystander! You look so good!" Sally stated. I looked down at said outfit choice, the dress itself was blue and it overall didn't look that terrible I just felt mildly embarrassed as pink dusted my cheeks while I rubbed the back of my neck, nodding slightly.

I walked down the hallway with her as we entered her room, we were now just waiting on Ben.. "Ok I'll be back, I'm gonna check that Ben is ready. Stay here and don't take the dress off!" She said while crossing her arms.

I nodded as she walked out, I sat on the floor next to the small table putting my shirt next to me.

Sally came back with Ben, who was in a pink dress, as they sat down at the table with me.

"Mr. Bystander, I have a gift for you!" Sally smiled, I nodded towards her as if saying to go on as she got up handing me the poorly wrapped gift.

I carefully opened it as I was taken back with what was inside, a whiteboard with a marker? I felt kinda confused to say the least. Sally bounced in her spot in excitement while saying "I know you don't talk a lot so I thought this would help you be able to talk to us better!"

I quickly wrote "thank you" and showed it to her in appreciation. I then thought of something quickly as I wrote out "so Ben got the pink dress?" I showed them both trying not to laugh.

Ben huffed out a sigh "yep, you're lucky since you got the blue one..", Sally laughed as Ben joined her in their laughter.

I then thought of another question writing down quickly "how do you guys know my 'name'?" I showed them confusion going through my eyes.

"Well..." Both of them said at the same time. "We know because of-"

Hehe another cliffhanger!

Sorry but I saw an opportunity so I just had to. But did you all miss this story? I'm sorry for the severely late update but I finally found the time and motivation so I went for it!

Can you all tell my writing has changed a bit? If not then that's fine but it has changed a bit from what it was lol.
