Previously on 'escape'

"But then why would I be sent here early?"

"We don't know that. All we know is that this probably means the two of you are connected" Minho told her, glancing at both Amelia and Thomas.

"Connected?" Amelia and Thomas asked simultaneously

"Yeah. I mean Thomas shows up here yesterday and then you show up just the next day. That's not normal" Minho explained.

"Plus you are the first girl"
"Yeah and that paper in your hand?"
"Things have been different since the two of you came"

Minho, Alby and Newt stated reasons as to why Amelia and Thomas are possibly connected. But the first one bothered her the most.

"Wait... I'm the first girl here?" Amelia asked the boys

"Yup. First one we've seen in years." Alby replied

'One girl surrounded by a bunch of boys. great' She thought to herself.

"Okay I have a lot of questions" The girl told them

"Well keep them to yourself for now. We'll answer them after I give you and Thomas a tour." Amelia nodded as her and Thomas followed Alby for the tour

"...And here's where you'll both sleep" He said, pointing to two hammocks.

Just as Alby finished the tour, they heard kid speak up from behind them. They turned around to see a teenage kid. He had curly brown hair and held sticks in his hand.

"Hey Chuck" Alby greeted the kid
"Hey" the kid, Chuck replied with a smile. "I got the sticks for the fire" he said as he handed them to their Leader, which was something Amelia learned during the tour. Alby smiled back at him and said, "Thanks"

The kid then turned to Amelia. "You must be the new greenie" he held out his arm for her to shake, and she did.
"Chuck this is Amelia. Amelia, Chuck" Alby introduced them to each other.

"Nice to meet you Chuck" Amelia said, smiling. "You too" Chuck said, doing the same.

"Hey Thomas"
"Hey Buddy"
The two boys greeted each other.

"Chuck is your roomate too" Alby told the new members of the Glade, mainly Amelia since Thomas had already slept here yesterday.

Suddenly it felt as if an earthquake came. The ground shook ever so slightly and then Amelia saw what was happening. The tall walls she had noticed earlier, started moving towards each other so they could interlock.

"Wh-what's going on?" Amelia asked the guys.

"It's sundown, the walls are closing"
