A/N: welcome back to this shit show. Also Adora is still going through it.
CW: Panic Attacks.
"Catra.." the voice said. Catra looked around, confused. She had heard this voice before. From where? She couldn't pin point.
"Catra." The voice said again, coming toward her. She backed up, her hands up. But the voice kept getting louder as the figure neared her.
At this point she started sprinting. She was running into darkness, nothingness. What was happening?
"What do you want?!" She cried breathlessly. The dark figure came close to her, they were terrifying to Catra, yet the figure was soft with her.
"Catra." It said again, making Catra nervous. "W-What do you want?"
"I need you t-"

Catra opened her eyes and realized she was dreaming. She sat up breathlessly, trying her best not to wake Adora. She knew Adora needed rest desperately. The past couple days Adora had been having nightmares, resulting in her waking up sobbing into Catra's embrace. Adora was finally sleeping soundly and Catra didn't want to wake her up. It was barely dawn.
Catra quietly got out of bed, realizing she didn't have clothes on (Don't ask).
After finding one of Adora's shirts that looked like a dress because of catra small size, she left the room.
[..]
Catra didn't exactly know how she had gotten to the stain glass walls in the castle. It was like something was leading her there. She stared at the pictures of magic legends, only to realize that someone she knew had a picture on the wall.
"your mother." Catra heard a voice say, causing her to jump.
"Mara, what are you doing here?" Catra prompted, recomposing herself. Mara hummed. " Being honest, I was going up a lie saying that I come here a lot when in truth I used a spell to find you."
"Oh." Catra replied, leaving the two in an awkward silence.
"So I see you're wearing Adora's shirt." Mara commented. Catra purred a little as she hugged herself. "Yeah.."
"And you two were safe?"
Catra did not want to have this conversation.
At least Mara was close to her age compared to the other adults her. Mara was in her early thirties Catra believed, but she was much more laid back than Queen Casta.
Catra nodded sheepishly, trying her best not to spill too much information as Mara probably didn't want to hear it. "She was very gentle with me, Mara. She has no intention to hurt me and neither do I."
"Good." Mara said, satisfied with the answer and not pressing forward on the subject. Catra was beyond grateful like that.
"You said you were looking for me. Why?" Catra inquired, keeping her eyes glued to the picture of her mother. Something about the picture was comforting.
Catra always secretly wondered if her family was alive somehow. Like her moms or grandmother. Maybe even an aunt. Just someone to lead her.
"I wanted to see if you could talk to Adora." Mara replied. "She won't listen to me. And since you two are close, she'd be willing to listen to you."
"About what?"
"She-Ra. And her magic. She is destined to help people. But she's too scared of herself."
Catra winced at the mention of She-Ra. She knew to an extent that the She-Ra she saw was being controlled by Shadow Weaver. But it wasn't necessarily something she'd encourage Adora to use.
But this was for Adora. Not her.
"Listen, I love Adora more than anything. I'll talk to her, but I can't promise anything. If she says no, I'll support her decision fully and I won't ask or nag her again. Understood?"
Mara nodded. "Thank you, your highness."
Catra hummed. "I must get back, I don't want to leave my love waiting."
Mara smiled. "You really love her?"
"I do."
"Than I wish you two the best. Adora is like a daughter to me and only want her to be happy." Mara told her before chuckling. "Oh and you might want to wear a scarf around the castle, kid."
Catra laughed a little and walked back to the bedroom.
[..]
When she arrived, she panicked.
She could see Adora, hiding in a corner with her knees close to her face, sobbing and hyperventilating.
Catra rushed to her lover, holding her in her arms. "Shh It's okay. I'm here."
Catra repeated comforting words as Adora began to calm down. That was the third time it had happened this week. This time Catra was lucky enough to catch it before it Adora hit a ten. This was probably a five. Last time this happened, Adora almost passed out.
"I'm sorry." Adora muttered, earning a tighter tug from Catra. "Hey, it's okay. Do you want to talk about it?"
"I had a dream. W-Where I hurt you... And then I woke up, and you weren't here. It felt so real.. I don't want to hurt you." Adora explained, chocking on her tears a bit. Catra smiled reassuringly. "I know, I know. We'll get through this, I promise."
"How are you so sure?"
"Cool sword and bitchin hair." Catra said, giggling as she messed with Adora's hair. She smiled when Adora laughed a little.
"I love you, Catra."
"I love you too. Us against the world?"
"Us against the world." Adora repeated, kissing Catra's forehead.
"Hey! What about us?" They heard from the background. Glimmer and Bow standing in the doorway smiling.
"You guys too. Now come here and help me hug this idiot back to health." Catra instructed, knowing how much the two loved hugging. The duo complied, rushing over and hugging.
And eventually, Adora felt better.
